  1. I am surprised Miranda struck out on that pitch, Morneau said awhile back the botton inside corner is his weak spot
  2. He probably was hired for defense.
  3. For the same reason they pronounce Gio - gee oh - not - joe - as it should be.
  4. I see nothing wrong with his at-bat numbers; his defense in Left Field with the Twins was - not good - by his numbers but oddly his Left Field defense was all positive last year with Rtot/yr of 17. Leaving the Twins changed something, maybe the coaches.
  5. Compare Pujols defensive numbers at age 24 to Miranda's, BIG difference.
  6. Using what crystal ball? Signing Miranda now is gazing into a crystal ball, at best.
  7. I could not say it any better than that.
  8. As far as left field defense goes, they are similar, only Eddie's strong arm is missing. Gio should be on that list, any one else at 3rd is huge drop.
  9. Luis was swinging for the fence a good bit more early in the season, his batting average took a tumble, now he is making sure he hits the ball, his average is at least stable. Some other Twins should take note.
  10. The Yankees who we play in a few weeks, are not in the same caliber as the Dodgers any more but if the Twins can at least split the series that will - maybe - get the monkey off of their backs, or at least partly lift it.
  11. Different team, different people, different system: some Minnesota should do is change some thing in their system.
  12. There are a LOT of other dudes in the Twins system hitting well above .181, none have show better fielding skill than Kepler. AA & AAA is where skill are established, not in the Majors. Miranda hit well now but his fielding skills are at the same Willie Mays Hays level of Gordon, here maybe today, here maybe tomorrow or maybe not..
  13. Ah, Wallner who has a .181 batting average in AAA, yep, just what the Twins need.
  14. I have watched the Twins, a big fan but not addicted to any sport any more, on what ever channel had it on TV or listened on radio. I have cable and see it there now, does this mean I may have listen to game on radio only?
  15. Yet they shut out the Dodgers. a team the Twins looked like a AA team when playing.
  16. Amazing , this pitcher shut-out the Dodgers.
  17. If Gordon ever over comes his bone-head moves, he will be a better than average ball player.
  18. The best diet in the world will not affect the arm, while if training is bette then they should also be mor durable. Loss equals any gains.
  19. Sturgeon is showing life again; he was doing well , bumped up to the Saints, fell flat, sent back down, looked like a flat line, now he has shown life again.
  20. Twins have scored 3 runs in the 7th inning, does Baldelli allow that?
  21. Since Bush forced every thing to go digital former clear channel stations are history; my home town is 60 miles from the Twin Cities and at night WCCO some time fades away.; used to get KAAY , KOMA and several Chcago stations clear as a bell. All gone now.
  22. That blocked pitch if Jeffers were catching the runner would be on second already.
  23. Only a mediocre team is happy with mediocrity.
