  1. Archer beat the Yankees 8-1, one the Twins few true high points.
  2. RISP means zip if there if there is not a rbi; -- I.e." Player k has 78 risp at bats, he has 10 rbi -- bench him."
  3. Well as the Saints have a losing record, let them flail away there, and not in the Bigs.
  4. Bringing back Astudillo would have been a far, far, far, far better choice; opposing pitchers would face, regardless of whether it was a hit or not, some one who WOULD put the bat on the ball, rather than strike out repeatedly.
  5. Fielding has been at little league level for several games now and unless that stops (runners not on base from errors cannot score) other teams will still see the Twins as no challenge.
  6. Twins M.O. not just this year: Starting pitching come out looking real, good, bats are silent; Bats come out putting a good run number up early, pitching stinks.
  7. Play-offs , well, that would be blood pressure raisting praying that their losing streak stops at 18, but all I really, really want, is for them to do to the Yankees what Chicago did and take the series.
  8. Well there have been some games where -- OH you mean the Twins rotation, never mind.
  9. Nope did not see the last sentence, but I agree with him.
  10. Well if you go to Baseball Ref. there is a graph for each team wins/loss showing margin of defeat or victory. You see a lot of green (winning) bars in a row for the leading teams.
  11. The Kernels have a good record and are getting beaten by teams with very poor records, for the past two games.
  12. I do not believe the over-performing shtick, they were performing at expected level, yet, they for the whole season, were , either stomping on opponents of getting stomped on more often than not. There has to be a organization reason for the instability of their play.
  13. Put it this way, Pittsburg 45-66 , has take 5 of 6 from the Dodgers, Cleveland took 2 of 3 from the Dodgers, the Twins cannot win even one, much less make them any thing resembling a close game. Twins have real problems and post season could be another horrid embarrassment.
  14. I will say it again: Oh for the days when posters were complaining about all the solo home runs.
  15. If they keep hitting as they are now, .500 is a gift from God.
  16. Twins need to pick-up some better than average veterans next year and not shoot-in-the-dark that maybe rookies will be not only good enough, but healthy enough to be more than guest appearances.
  17. I watched the last innings last night, the Royals ate the Kernels like pop-corn.?
  18. Whether or not they make the post season is not so important to me but what does mean a lot is how they do against some top teams. If they lost the series to the Royals or Tigers would not bother me IF they split or win the series against Dodger and Yankees. How they do against those teams, mean more to me that losing to division rivals.
  19. Turners fielding stats shows he is better at 2nd base than at Short Stop, far, far, far from the best.
  20. It is a dead issue until spring so it is amazing how much angst it is getting. Next spring we will see how the owners view Sano.
  21. Washington took two in a row from the Dodgers, so there is no excuse of Dodgers being one of the best as an excuse for a loss , much less a blow-out.
  22. I looked up the stats. from the first Dodger game, there they collapsed in the 8th inning; yesterday they collapsed in the 2nd inning. Buxton in the outfield is greatly missed but he there would not have changed the lack of hitting and ptiching.
