  1. Pohlad had no Rasputin, who to ask to see the future?
  2. Perkins can field like a young Billy Hamilton and hits better than Lee or Martin, make a trade.
  3. No, as much as some here think , money is all they play for, I do not think it always works that way.
  4. Tell that to the trading cards company, how they do not know what they are doing.
  5. No trade clause, end of story.
  6. Then Ryan was pixilated as Lewis has never shown the fielding ability of Sandberg.
  7. YES, I found the site that sells them so I can now make predictions like so many have about the rookie crop.
  8. Not unless for some very, very odd reason , a player really, really, really wants to play in Minn. and takes a pay cut.
  9. People here use numbers, most new to me, to show how they see team/players perfornance. As you said they are just numbers but they make some people happy and some people sad.😎
  10. The FO here do not like my opinion and I have beed informally spanked, owy, owy, owy. Que sera, sera.
  11. That is part of how the Baseball experts who make the stats do it, complain to them.
  12. Range factor is considered a more accurate measure of a player's defensive ability than fielding percentage because it focuses on the total number of outs a player is involved in, rather than the percentage of chances they handle cleanly. Catchers Catchers who have many strikeout pitchers on their team will have a high range factor.
  13. If you have an option, you are still a rookie. in My opinion.
  14. An infield where 3rd, Short Stop, 2nd and 1st are constants, makes for a smooth running team as each player knows how the others will handle most situations. There will be little to no, "what the hell was that"; now a Cesar Tovar type utility would be a fifth to fix any loose ends. Twins have none of that as sadly, Castro is not near as good as Tovar.
  15. Math - fewer fans, less income, boring mediocre to losing team, less fans less money coming in.
  16. Vazquez Rtot and Rdrs, number are positive while Jeffers are negative, and Vazquez has much better Range Factor numbers.
  17. Hmm, Julien 94 games, Martin 93, Lee 50, Lewis 82, Kirilloff 57 are all rookies and most were a strong reason/s for the Sept. collapse. Defense - where they fell apart, Lee, who looks not bad at Third, had positive Rdrs, the rest had all negative Rtot and Rdrs numbers , with Julien and Martin being the worst. Vazquez all positive Rtot and Rdrs, Jeffers all negative while Margot and Farmer like Lee split the numbers data agrees with me totally. Data
  18. The point of te game, especially for the Twins now, is to win now, to bring in fans, not become a crap-shoot that comes up craps more often than not. IF the Twins were like Texas and won the World Series, fans would be happy and the FO could be a extended Minor League team as the fans would be happy and show up for the next season BECAUSE they won big in the Post Season. A team full of wannabes, or veterans that are here today and gone tomorrow, give the fans no one to be come attached to; Fans DO go to see their favorite player , play. Right now Buxton and Correa, (Santana , if he stays, and maybe Castro) will be the only ones most fans can relate to; if Kepler leaves and the field become musical chairs, that is NOT going to increase fan atendance.
  19. Twins went to the Post Season last year, with an infield and out fields of rookies this year they collapsed so your statement is simply false.
  20. The minors are for developing players , not the majors. Every Rooker, Celestino, Gordon, Palacios, Blankenhorn that they bring in that is allowed to keep struggling through the entire season is the reason Margot, Farmer, Gallo and Vazquez are an absolute neccessity.
