  1. Pretty much mirrors my thoughts I just posted! But you make a good point about the culture. I think he struggled to be a leader of men at the same level he was a play caller and schemer. He seemed well liked, but maybe too well liked. Harbaugh has that on lock down...what he needs is somebody that can make the offense go. Like you said....the ceiling of that offense with his mind is scary. Like "early favorite for futures bets I'm going to place on their upside" scary.
  2. I think ultimately it came down to the QB, but their talent eroded pretty rapidly over the years. They took a lot of big, Madden-like swings on players rather than smart, meat and potato type additions. McDaniels strikes me as one of the few new-wave young coaches who is still committed to the running game. He just does an awesome job working people open and mixing up his formations/attack. Give him Herbert, a good (healthy?) offensive line, Hampton, and that WR room? Yeah...I think the Chargers could be dangerous.
  3. It's just example #1 billion that you don't have to be smart to be a billionaire.
  4. I think his offensive schemes are great. He got undone by concussions and a bad GM. I'd hire him in a heartbeat.
  5. I'm getting tired waving the homer hanky this offseason. Can't even muster up the gif!
  6. I never would have expected a Jim Harbaugh-Mike McDaniel combo.
  7. The RB seems awfully one dimensional. He's physical and straight ahead, but we have a guy like that already. That isn't a fit for us, IMO. The center is a good player and a good fit.
  8. Not sure I love McGowan. The other three picks are great fits.
  9. The Arkham games are all-timers. Just fantastic.
  10. Reddit sample size that I've seen is mad they fired him and not the GM. I look at McDermott as a guy who has an all-timer at QB but a pretty bad roster around him. Elevating that team to a SB contender every year seems like damn good coaching.
  11. My brother in law just got a Steam Deck, I was impressed with it. Well designed, great lighting/size on the screen, good layout for controls. Loved how easily it could switch from game mode to browser mode. If I wasn't so set as a console gamer I'd strongly consider it. Playing BG3 or Expedition 33 on the go as a parent would be awesome.
  12. My over bet got wrecked by over-cute coaching.
  13. We're literally deciding catches on "vibes"
  14. Adams....catch and down. Cooks...nope. FFS.
  15. I wanted Skattebo with the pick that we took Felton. Hell...I wanted TWO backs out of that class last year.
  16. God do we need a back like Monangi. If only those were available on day three of drafts....
  17. There's a reason why Blackhawk fans don't sit during the anthem. They scream their heads off the whole time.
  18. Yeah...that was a cartoonishly bad decision.
  19. Maybe there is such a thing as karma for Sean Payton. Sad that Nix, an otherwise fine human, had to pay the price for that loud sack of ****.
  20. I still think Nix is trash. The Bills just have a trash defense. The "mistake" the Vikings made, made again, and sound prepared to make for a third year is not figuring out that running the ball is back. You want to be good? Run the ball.
  21. Found these this morning: How the hell are these catches and Brandin Cooks last night was not?
  22. That INT call just doesnt make sense to me.
  23. Logically...yes. Counterpoint: Raiders.
