  1. I don't see why everyone is dismissing pneumonia so freely. It kills a lot of people every year, 1,000,000 actually. The issue isn't her health per say, pneumonia it's easily treated, it's the secrets. Why not be upfront about it? Just seems lame to me.
  2. I think everyone will remember that day. I was in high school and like many, watched the second plane hit. We were on break, and people began shouting and screaming. It was awful.
  3. I think they felt the combined experience of Johnson and weld gave them some credibility. I think they are right, even though I'm not a huge Johnson fan. Still voting for him, but he lacks in some key traits that would really be helpful when running for president. The party might break double digits in the popular vote, which would be a huge win. Perhaps it will allow them to start attracting better candidates.
  4. I agree with that. Luckily this wasn't in the debates, he would have looked terrible. If he does by some miracle make a debate, people aren't going to vote for him because he's the most ready, they will vote for him because they can't stand the 2 party system, can't stand trump or Hillary, want pot legalized.
  5. I hate wells Fargo. Will never bank with them again. I detest the business practice and how they treat employees.
  6. Mike, my point is that i doubt many care. I don't think the desire to have less of an obstructionist approach to foreign policy is a bad thing. We don't have to be in the middle of everything. It would be nice not to spend do much money on pointless initiatives. Our foreign policy hasn't been all that successful thus far, why continue to do the same (or worse with trump)?
  7. He won't be back. Any gm is going to mandate they hire their own guy. I wouldn't get too worried about it.
  8. I would have had the same reaction (though ask him to rephrase the question ). Why use Aleppo when asking that question? I bet 75% of Americans don't know where/what Aleppo is. Agreed on both parties want his voters. Problem is, I don't think this is going to hurt him that much. He needs to a page out of trumps book when talking about things he has no idea about lol.
  9. That isn't a big deal. I'm surprised he didn't recognize the city of Aleppo right away. That is something you should be briefed on in foreign policy. I hardly think he is ignorant of what is going on there. Mistake sure, but not something that should sink him.
  10. This series was awesome. From the great eighties theme, to the creepy story that isn't too creepy. I disagree with the premise there can't be a sequel. I think there is enough at play in that story to do another round. They only had 8 episodes. Or, they could take it in a completely new direction and completely new story. Then we'd have to guess how the rest plays out. A lot of stories and books ended like that in the nineties.
  11. Why care? As long as they aren't disrespecting something or someone it shouldn't even be a talking point. The people that say act like you've been there before, have never been there. I didn't see it, haven't made twins games a priority lately. Don't waste your breath with barreiro.
  12. Who has a higher war next year at 3b, plouffe or sano?
  13. Lucky to win 6 games? This was the first game for many of these guys playing together. Both sides of the ball need to get better, but each showed flashes of being a pretty good team. The ceiling of this team may be limited by the lack of a deadly passing game, but they will make bowl. A lot of the mistakes were made by young guys who will get better. They really need someone to emerge at receiver. Wolitarsky is ok, but he isn't an explosive game changer. To take the next step, thus team needs that guy. Better qb play wouldn't hurt either.
  14. Mitch played ok. The first half was terrible, the second was ok. He is noticeably quicker. He basically won the game himself the last drive, getting first downs on the ground and some nice throws. The new targeting rule is terrible. Gophers lost 3 starters because of it. Regardless of osu record last year, they're not a terrible team. They're still in a major conference, and the qb is solid.
  15. Sloppy game. Gophers have some talent this year, might make a run at it. The 3 defensive targeting were very dumb plays. Leidner with only 36 yards in the first half is an embarrassment. He is the reason they won though. This was a good game to get a real feel for what they have. The tune up games should really help. They need to come out passing and find a groove against the smaller schools. The running game will be fine against anybody. Defense showed some flashes, need more consistency.
  16. This season might get ugly. The only team not trying to push into the playoffs are the white Sox. This could be a 100 loss team after all. They only need to go 14-18, but that is going to be very difficult. Even worse, the light at the end of the tunnel has dimmed considerably. This decade may go down as the worst in franchise history, unless you count the 50's with Washington.
  17. The injury to Brooks is going to hurt. He is going to be a good one. I cancelled my direct tv, so i won't pick up as many games as i used to. Should still get to enough though. This year will be telling about the state of the program.
  18. Good for him. He's had a difficult road. Hopefully he has success.
  19. Of all the perplexing decisions, this is right up at the top. Why bring Berrios up, if you aren't going to let him continue to pitch? Are they proving a point? Why the yoyo with prospects? I just don't get it, if a guy is ready let him play, if he isn't don't call him up. I haven't cared to watch a game in a long time. Remember when everyone thought 75 wins was possible? It's looking more likely to be a 100 loss season. I just am hoping for new blood and new approach to the game of baseball top down. This isn't working.
  20. Duffey was taken out of the rotation for a few minutes. I'm not sure why they've left him in for so long. Give some young guys a chance. Duffey can probably do well in the bullpen. If May was given this long of a leash he'd still be a starter. It's amazing to think they moved him because a terrible vet that is no longer mlb quality was going to throw a tantrum.
  21. Have you looked at any video of release point? Seems strange that he has such great command and now is having trouble with it. I would like to think they know he needs to locate better, Bert himself always talks about it. He will get comfortable and start having success. The twins need to just keep sending him out there. It might go a long ways to reassure him of that as well, if they haven't already.
  22. I think the lack of strike outs for Stewart had a lot to do with the high amount of walks. It's hard to strike guys out if your control isn't there and you fall behind in counts. Still, he's got about a 3 era while being very young for the league. For some reason, guys just don't hit the ball very hard off him. Bumps in the road are to be expected.
  23. Yeah that has to be one of the better stunts of all time. I'm a huge fan.
  24. Escobar is a utility player. No harm in that. Guys like him have long careers.
  25. Can't. Like. Enough. Times.
