  1. A couple of observations; - Really miss Santana's glove at first. Infielders need to be aware that throwing the ball into the dirt to first is now risky. - Why didn't Keaschall play second? - We all have been around this game long enough to know that when a reliever goes south, they go south. Apparently, Rocco does not know that. - Is Brock Stewart ready yet?
  2. Lee can play third, moving Castro to second. However, that is the least of our problems. Starting pitching has been great, bullpen up and down, but the offense is as bad as I can recall. Castro and France are the only two hitters doing anything. Buxton, Correa, Larnac and Wallner appear overmatched at the plate right now. I cringe when I see a lineup with both Gasper and Valazquez in it. Two outs for sure each time through the lineup. There is an old saying in baseball, you don't win pennants in April but you can sure lose them. By the time this team gets righted, the train might have left the station.
  3. Julien continues to show why he does not belong on a major league roster. Runners on first and third, one out and two strikes, he again watches strike three go by. Hey Eddie, if it's close with two strikes go get it.
  4. I know it probably does not matter in the grand scheme of things, but McCaughan struck Rogers out on a pitch that a so called "crew chief" missed. They tell us that umpires review game film after each game. If Conroy thought he called a good game, then he needs to look for another occupation. Was at a several spring training games this year and loved the challenge system on balls and strikes.
  5. Two hits and one of those was a dribbler up the third base line. It is time to hire a new hitting coach, oops, we already did that.
  6. Where is it written in stone that the DH must be a permanent player? Rotate someone daily depending on the circumstances. I like that option better than watching Julien take strike three on a daily basis.
  7. Acquire a right-handed hitting outfielder solves this issue.
  8. Again, tell Larnac and/or Wallner to bring a first baseman's mitt to spring training.
  9. Why not, since we have this great surplus of pitching.
  10. Attended a series in Cleveland in 2020 where he hit everything on the screws. Contact sounded like a gun going off. I recall thinking how much fun it was going to be to watch him over the years. Beginning to think that this team is just jinxed.
  11. Either Wallner or Larnach needs to bring a first baseman's mitt to spring training.
  12. Apparently, his algorithm dictated the move.
  13. Rocco needs to understand that the game is played by humans, not computers.
  14. I guess we no longer need to discuss bringing Santana back. Congratulations on a gold glove, thanks for the effort, but don't let the door hit you in the a** on the way out.
  15. Why not look at Jake Berger with the Marlins. Inexpensive, decent glove, right-handed power. Throw Julien, Martin and Alcala at them to see it they will bite.
  16. This is on the front office for not acquiring a left-handed reliever. Jax has never pitched well in a second inning but what choice do you have at that point?
  17. I did not see the game, but the news that Farmer was at second was greeted with a sigh of relief. Farmer has been hitting better lately and when he is at second, I do not close my eyes when a ball is hit that way.
