  1. Regardless of his learning curve, the flashes Sano shows indicates his ability. Now it is focus. Like it matters right now anyway. This is a perfect time to hang in there with him. Milone still is responsible for serving up that Jack, unearned runs or not. It is still his job to not serve the meatball. This also helps get Milone out of the rotation and on the way to his success story in Korea.
  2. After all these years, Dozier is still reaching out to tag. That coupled with his not keeping his glove on the runner until the play is over are more reasons to trade him.
  3. You lost me at "rebuild".
  4. Not this decade. That is some time ago. But it would be nice. The decade MO is to lose massively after the all-star break.
  5. Exactly! And hey...... a little 30 game winning streak and we are right back in the hunt!
  6. I think you have forgotten that ...... THERE NEVER WAS A REBUILD!!! No waves. No ripples. Just normal drafting and tired mediocre pitching added to dumpster diving waiver cast-offs. Any rebuild is a figment of your imagination.
  7. Go young and try to win. Establish a winning attitude. Immediately if not sooner. Draft picks are extremely overrated, especially high schoolers in the first round. Win. That's what you are in this for. New blood, new GM, new attitude. Now.
  8. Berrios! Berrios! Berrios! Berrios! Nothing left to prove in Rochester. What are you waiting for, Antony. Your clock is ticking.
  9. May is proving he sucks as a relief pitcher. ERA now 6.06. No movement on the fastball. I don't get what you guys see in him as a starter either. The Twins don't need another 4-5 ERA pitcher, period. Japan or Korea. AAAA.
  10. Nunez too. Quick, while his sinking average is still over .300. Tonight! And get Palanco up here.
  11. Just watched the video. Morneau looks horrible in that uniform! ;-)
  12. He made his own hole. Two 0-2 counts to the first two batters, and he gave them pitches to hit. I guess he had been watching Perkins' films.
  13. Absolutely not! Just fools gold, just like Jepsen. DO NOT BE FOOLED. But as Jokin pointed out, good for trade value. Don't press the luck. Trade tonight.
  14. No need to eat anything. That was still a horrible move. Lucky Lucky Lucky Lucky. Gibson deserved a complete game. Kintzler is no closer. Whew!!
  15. This is a mistake. No way Gibson should have been pulled.
  16. Truly amazing Sano can't catch a pop up. They just need to call him off while he catches a hundred a day before the games for a month.
  17. Whoever is directing the broadcast is an idiot. Kepler's mom comes all the way from Berlin, and they interview her during an important at bat with runners on second and third, and she doesn't even get to watch him. Plus we have to look at split screen. So annoying. And rude to mom. Selfish. Do that crap at a different time. Idiots.
  18. If only those top picks actually became great MLB players, it might be worth losing. As it has been, no big deal.
  19. In fairness to Luke Bard, he was pulled from the 8th with one out and the bases loaded, but a grounder away from a DP and out of the inning. While he was pulled and charged with 3 runs, it was the usually reliable Landa that "gave (them) up". Poor Landa. He let 7 runs cross the plate in 5 batters, and his performance included a walk, HBP, WP, 2 doubles and a single. Ouch. Wimmers needs brought up soon, before he turns 40.
  20. I agree. But that last statement is key. We, as Twins' fans have been somewhat conditioned to lower expectations. I have high hopes for Kepler, too, but am not ready to anoint him the next thing.
  21. I like watching Kepler a lot. But call me old fashioned on this. I still like hitters that hit for high average, and RBI mean clutch hitting. Kepler is coming on. Thankfully, he hasn't been embarrassing in the field, lately. (Yup, I remember). June 3 The rookie booted a two-hop single to right field in the eighth inning, allowing Tampa Bay base runner Taylor Motter to advance to third and eventually score the go-ahead run on Brad Miller’s RBI single. June 15: Routine fly overrun, Kepler watches it fall to the ground he just ran past. http://m.mlb.com/video/v819820783
  22. This is the reward for giving up 5 runs, including a grand slam, and blowing the game a couple days ago. Yeah, I know they were unearned, but that was just because of a leadoff error, and all of the runs were with two outs. It was a horrible outing.
  23. Mauer's......Mauer's decline, of course. Damn spell check on this phone. This observation by no means is saying it is his wife or children's fault. It has to do, as all that have a wife and or family come to know, that there are now additional compartments that need focus, and they should be just as important if not more important than baseball, especially when your contract is guaranteed.
