    The pool money is the limit they can spend on draft picks, they can't spend more. If they don't spend to the limit, it is still money they have to spend however they want.

    If you read the rule book there is nothing in it about the bat crossing the plate, It's intent, did he intend to swing? Clearly he was attempting to get out of the way not swing.

    I think the Pohlads are saving their money until they can get a new ballpark.

    I don't understand how counting the entire contract in year one gives you a true outcome. Then again I don't understand a lot of things.

    The Pohlads have a LOT of money, with that goes a lot of accountants. They will know every deduction and write-off possible and some they make up. Whatever we hear is the profit it will be a lot more in actual cash taken out. Needless to say the Pohlads won't need food stamps any time soon.
