    The problem with trading Plouffe is that he isn't very good. Most teams trying to contend trade for good players that will help them. Its hard see Plouffe helping any contending team.

    I doubt the Twins front office will ever be accused of evolving. Stuck on an ark floating aimlessly at sea rearranging the chairs.

    "This year's Minnesota Twins team is bad. Like, most losses in baseball bad. Like, less than half as many wins (25) as the Texas Rangers (51) bad." Last year at the trade deadline the Twins were 54-49 and the Rangers were 50-53. The Rangers went out and got Cole Hamels a top of the rotation pitcher, the Twins got Jepsen. The Rangers went up made the playoffs and the Twins went down missed the playoffs. Two teams with good farm systems at the same place in the standings last year one goes for it with a big trade the other nibbles around the edges. How'd it work out?

    I'm not real sure who was saying "it's all Mauer's fault" on here. Is what Nick wrote accurate? Seems to me it was!

    Pitching, pitching and more pitching. Until that is fixed, and I've seen nothing from Terry in the past that says he can fix it, this team isn't going to be serious playoff team. What Terry does best is nibble around the edges with fringe players. This team needs a whole lot more than nibbling around the edges, imo.

    With the exception of last May this team has been really bad for 5 1/2 years now. I think it's hard to believe that other teams are thinking I want their players. The phone has likely been very silent.

    370-510 over the last 6 years a .420 winning percentage, yep everything is great. How bad does it need to get and for how long before people stop defending this inept organization?
