  1. I completely agree with you on time and place. If you insist on getting notifications in the workplace, which is none of my business, at least keep your device on silent. And my bad, I looked back up and it wasn't you who claimed Twitter as "completely useless."
  2. I get zero notifications from Twitter. When I want updates on why a player left the game in the 3rd inning, updates on if my questionable fantasy quarterback is going to start on Sunday morning or just want a 15 minutes break and browse my baseball writers for interesting articles. I guess the option for me of getting up to the minute updates whenever I want is just extremely handy. If it's not your thing, it's not your thing, but I just can't see how services like that are seen in negative light.
  3. Exactly. The people who complain about people on facebook that share every detail of their life........they are YOUR friend. It's easy to delete or simply block their posts. There is a TON of utterly useless crap on Twitter. Any jimbroni can get on there and post whatever they want. You choose what you want to see and utilizing this can make it a very useful tool.
  4. As a sports fan I think Twitter is extremely useful. Up to the minute updates during games, deadlines, etc. You choose who you follow, you can customize lists (IE: Twins writers, NBA players, etc.) Any way of quickly sharing information isn't a complete waste IMO.
  5. If we are at the same stage in a year, I will start worrying more about Buxton. I love what Max is doing, but he did have almost 30% more plate appearances in the minors than Buxton has had, or a season plus of games. I really hope they don't rush him back. If he looks like a changed hitter next Spring Training then I hope he makes the team. If not, let him play in AAA. If the Twins need to sign an OF to make that happen, they should. You can make all the comparisons you want, but it won't change the fact he only turns 23 this offseason. I still have high hopes.
  6. I know all the talk lately has been about the offense, especially Das Wunderkid, Mauer, Polanco and Dozier but....how about that bullpen?
  7. 2B Dozier 1B Mauer RF Kepler DH Sano 3B Plouffe CF Rosario SS Polanco C Centeno LF Santana P Duffey Trevor is back. Jorge to short. Sano to DH. I can dig it.
  8. I am tired of seeing infielders playing in the OF. I'd rather see Grossman, Rosario and Kepler starting with D. San filling in 1-2 times per week than just tossing Polonco out there. So far, Molly has done a pretty good job rotating Polonco around the diamond and getting his bat in the lineup without having him playing in the OF.
  9. How long do they carry the prospect tag for ? Meyer will be 27 on the 3rd of next year.
  10. Yeah, I know. It wasn't important...but I just thought I'd put it out there.
  11. I might be wrong here, but doesn't the AL teams have 1st shot at waivers, then it passes through the NL teams? So Tampa would get first shot?
  12. How about this scenario.....the Twins decide not to go to arbitration with Santiago and he becomes a free agent. The trade would essentially be 2 months of Santiago and MR Busenitz for Nolasco and Meyer. This move would save them $8M in the trade next year. Would the Twins have taken $8M cash for Meyer?
  13. Cleveland announcers think for sure that should be a basehit. I disagree.
  14. "Congratulating Mauer on his 4 bounce single up the middle"
  15. Is the special thing that the Rays have struck out 12 times and none belong to Arcia? :-D
  16. JORGE JORGE JORGE! A hat's...err helmet's off tribute to Nunez even!
  17. I'm sure they aren't too happy not having him in the lineup today
  18. I'm sure that has nothing to do with the pitchers who has thrown to him......
  19. I don't see how people can't like the Abad deal. 1. He is 30 and a minor league signing this offseason.........with much scrutiny coming when the signing was announced. 2. There are several arms in the minors many posters have been more or less demanding get a spot in the pen. 3. They got a former 1st round pick, who is left handed and can hit triple digits. I understand the command issue but also the upside
  20. I wonder how much of Lucroy nixing the trade to Cleveland affected Suzuki staying in Minnesota
  21. If he was a free agent at the end of the season I would agree with you. But he's not.....which means he has value BEYOND this year for the Twins.
  22. Or when the other team doesn't give up what you want. I'd rather see Santana as a Twin at the end of the day rather than a sub-par package for him.
