    One question I want to ask is, why did they pitch to Naylor? The winning run is on 2nd, 1st base is open, and Naylor is a much better hitter than Reyes.

    I mean...I will be right there with my pitchfork if guys are flying around the league and it's July 30th and the Twins haven't acquired anyone yet. But it's a little early for that

    Frustrating day to be a Twins fan. Max's lost ball in the sun led to the Guardian's 1st run. The Twins can't take advantage of two Cleveland errors and go 1-8 with RISP. Correa's shot in the 4th would have left the park on almost any other day in Cleveland. Emilio Pagan had a rough 10 minutes and that's putting it nicely. Hard to win with 2 runs scored. Let's hope for a better offensive showing in the nightcap.

    You also face Cleveland tonight and tomorrow. Using Duran for 2 innings this morning, means he is unavailable for both of the next two games. If they can get 6 outs with the lead today and save Duran for later, it's a wonderful move. If the Twins don't leave Kepler at 2nd with 0 outs in the 8th, this game might still be going. Pagan was awful today, but the Twins did more to not win this game besides him.

    Well Twins have more wins. They won bigger last night. Guardians took advantage of Twins mistakes this afternoon, Twins squandered a lot of opportunities.

    When you go 1-8 with RISP it leads to things like Pagan in with a 1 run lead. Sigh. Re-group and go get them tonight.

    Smeltzer threw 95 pitches. They aren't going to allow pitchers to start a new inning with that many pitchers thrown. That just is what it is.

    Not getting Kep in from 2nd with 0 outs last inning is seemingly pretty huge right now

    They wanted to give Gio a game off today, Your other options were Buck and Jeffers. Buxton was obviously not going to play both games, and Jeffers was only going to catch one. That leaves Garlick or Contreras. I question him hitting 4th in the lineup, but you only have so many options for players.

    Max had to lose that in the sun. There's no way he just stops like that if he knew where the ball was at.

    Max with 34 BB's to 39 K's so far this season. Both his BB% and K% are career bests. On the flip side his ISO and SLG would be career lows...take it for what it's worth.

    Pleasac almost always goes to that slider....which he throws very well...when he gets ahead. Hopefully they are patient with it today. Twins didn't do much of anything against him last week. Edit: Correa is patient and earns the walk as I typed this out
