    Judging by the values of free agents posted I don’t think anybody should be worried about them signing another Bundy or Hill type. No, for the price they would want to spend the team would get much worse. Trade a 10 million contract of a 2-3 war player to sign a pitcher at the about 10 million level is a possibility. Would a recycled Paxton be any different than Bundy? Look for a trade.

    So basically you do not know if there is a successful 2 swing approach that is any different from how a batter normally swings the bat. There should be some sort of magical thing that works

    Injuries. That is glossed over. What has changed that he is not going to be injured yet again. How many years in a row has it been? Why would you sign yet another player with so much time missed by injury unless it is a team friendly deal. Wherever Garver plays the team would have to have a near ready plan B. He is a luxury item for a team

Starting pitching at the front of the rotation is still more expensive than BTV thinks.. When the trading was done, the Reds had 3 mlb players from Mahle. I think people think Gilbert may be bettter than Mahle and around longer

    Trading for him would make sense if what the team needed was a back of the rotation starter. That is not the case Trading for a back of rotation starter would make sense if your only goal was to barely win the division. Most would hope that is not the goal. If just winning the division was enough Terry Ryan would still be the GM

    I looked at the list of available fee agent pitchers and saw James Kapprellian. I looked to see what went wrong stat wise with his 2023 season. There was a link to see who the Bucs should pick up as minor league free agents. Sounded like a good idea. Nope. There was a link to the story on who they should trade for from the Twins. If their list of minor league free agents was a collection of mediocrity, curiosity took over. So many trade suggestions here look absolutely reasonable by comparison.
