    Slegers is a low k, high contact rate pitcher. I don't know if there is that much there to make a better pitcher. 3.54 minor league ERA, he has value. The question is does he have 40 man roster value? If it were not the launch angle, elevate generation he could be Carl Pavano 2010. The 15% HR/fb and a 40% fb rate is a killer. I would predict he is back in Rochester. Never say never, as starting pitching gets thin. PNC or AT&T park might be a good fit

    The results of the minor league development would lead me to believe that the FO believed they needed to try something different. The dearth of late round draft picks and IFA bargains that developed into solid major league position players and starting pitching ought to be the proof that the Twins system needed an overhaul.     if steamer is accurate, 6.9 is still more war than you will get out of middle relievers and 40-50 fv prospects. you forgot to include Kyle Farmer in what was obtained for a group of non elite prospects.

    Cron hit 30 hr last year. LoMo II or reached his potential? Gordon Below average fielder an hitter or slow developing. Cron has been a replacement level 1b/dh with one good season. For 2019 that has value. On the other side of the debate is all about potential and a failure at AAA. You could probably get a plyer that has put up Gordon like numbers for Cron, just not the pedigree

    All of the local television contracts are revenue shared. . I think it was 31% goes into the community pot and shared by each team. Hence the 1%, considering the league office keeps a share for their expenses. The raise in revenue for the Twins after the first season in Target Field is easily attributed to the other television contracts going up. A million from Arizona, A million from the Cardinals. A couple million from the Phillies. . It adds up. in addition to the big bump in the national contract.

    Orioles, Rangers, and Royals are the race for the bottom. Lat year 8 teams had better records. The climb over the Indians is just as steep as the climb over any other team to get to the wild card.

    Any amount of increase in a local television deal the Twins would see 1% of it. The Twins will see a revenue increase of 1 million or so from Arizona. It would take a lot more deals to get the revenue over 300 million.

    To get to league average for revenue the Twins would have to be selling out every game and nearly double the per fan revenue Selling out every game at current revenues per fan would increase revenue by 40 million. The new factor of Target Field has long worn off. Consistent division winning baseball would not be enough.

    What kind of prospect does trading Kepler get? Other than Harper about the only outfielder that might be better than Kepler would be Pollock. He is projected at 4/60. Being the generous organization they are Kepler as a might see 20 million over the next 4 years. For 40 million your team buys a prospect. For 40 million you could buy anyone's 2 or 3 ranked prospect. They are not going to trade Kepler for that prospect. Money down the drain.

    The valuation is a guess, not take it to the bank actual.. So you really don't know the value, either. The percentages bandied about really have no meaning. The Forbes guess at valuations are as good as their revenue guess. Warren Buffet was reported to think the value of a business is profit dived by the rate for long term T Bills. Forbes guessed profit at 24 million. TBill rate and math would put the Twins value at 850 million with the best coupon rate I could find. Clearly different than the Forbes fin valuation. The Miami Marlins as reported by statistica over the last 5 years has averaged 3 million a year in profit. Clearly valuations are not tied to profitability
