  1. Yup I knew that my statement was based on information after the fact. as are the complaints about the pitching.
  2. I am not sure what Molitor's core principles are. Perhaps you can PM me a reliable source for that position. Boshers may be older but at 81 IP in major league ball I wouldn't call him a veteran. In pitching mostly low leverage situation I would think they are still trying to develop him.
  3. If you do not think anyone on this thread had no problems I would ask that you reread the thread.
  4. There in no hperbole on my part, the other guy is the one who demanded perfection. I merely pointed out what was not obvious. There is nothing saying that Busenits would have fared any different than Boshers. Jay Bruce is hitting well, Carlos Santana, At 20 pitches Busenitz would still be able to pitch the next day when needed (Gibson) Had Busenitz let in a run the complaints would be along the lines of Molitor leaving him out there too long. Either way the point is moot. The Twins were batting feebly 12 K, no bb, 6 0 fers
  5. In a league that the hitters average less than .700 ops, 805 is good. If qualified, it would be the 25th best. In all of A+ ball there are 120 out of the 792 with an ab younger than 22. 180 22 years old. Rooker is not old for the league.
  6. How many relievers have an ERA of 0? Every manager is worthless because no reliever has an ERA of 0
  7. Boshers did not surrender a lead, moot point.
  8. Cleveland and Arizona next week. Not as bad as Houston/Dodgers but not like facing the White Sox for a week. A week of angst followed by a week of hope.
  9. Any signings that year would still be 18 year olds in the rookie leagues. That would not impact the upper minors. It would be better to blame the 13-14 drafts for not producing anything quite yeat. Besides Hildenberger
  10. Rosario is suposed to be a good hitter. It is called development.
  11. There is no spin. Unearned runs have been that way for a very long time. That is the way it works. with ERA. The fielder makes the play, they are out of the inning. There is no implosion. FIP says the pitcher was unlucky in giving up single. Implosion would be a 3 run HR.
  12. Napoli has an OPS+ of 85. Suddenly Mauer and Grossman look better.
  13. The call for auditions. Then comes the Chris Parmelee syndrome
  14. A team that is 5 games better than the run differential is, of course, luck. It has nothing to do with the manager.
  15. Manship is doing so well he is now pitching in Korea. Hendicks had one good year, but this year has an ERA approaching six. Duensing is doing a great job as mop up man. His leverage index being 0.7o, just slightly higher than Breslow for a comp. Swarzak bounced through 2 different organizations before having success this year. He fetched the Brewer's 17 best prospect. That is similar to what the Twins have received and Bonnes essentially said was worthless.
  16. You can shuffle the holes with trades, but you will still have holes. Considering the need for a front line startre and two back end relievers, where was this going come from? That Levine wiggling his nose like Samantha Stevens?
  17. The best option when Stewart was drafted would have been to lowball so bad that you were not disappointed in the results had he signed or not signed and had a better pick the next year. I don't know if many people would have come up with that . Aaron Judge thus far is the steal of the draft but not many ranking boards had him that high.
  18. The price for a pitcher as you describe wanting would cost at least three player and probably Berios. Archer hasn't even done as well as the pitcher you want.
  19. Some of the ballplayers added during this better find a makeup artist.
  20. Belisle would have a lot lower ERA id he had not pitched to Gimmenez 2.54
  21. Travis Harrison, Niko Goodrum and Pat Light would be about right Garcia faded in 2011, the only other season he pitched a full year
  22. One should not stop exploring, nor should a team overpay. A 6-3 loss is the same as a 4-3 loss in the standings
  23. Kazmir was considered a front of the rotation talent at the time. Leake at the time was the Reds number 2 starter. with a track record of durability . The return was not that great for the level of talent. Recent trades of non star pitchers at the deadline do not bring great returns. That Garcia is having a better year than the last year does not improve his value Garcia at this point last year had similar statistics to this year. before tailing off at the end of the year. Will Garcia tail off again in August and September again? There is only a guess with the recent evidence pointing the wrong way.
  24. Santiago will have a rhab start on Wednesday It is not like Santiago had a maor operation. Out of sight out of mind for some. He still exists, he still is under contract and there is no reason to think he will not be back.
