  1. It sure was. I'm just waiting for someone to grill their foot in a foreman grill ala Michael Scott at this point.
  2. I had to read that line again of what happened. Did he just fall asleep while having the heat pack on? How does that happen? And can heating packs get THAT hot on their own? None of that makes any sense to me.
  3. @Jamie CameronWould you consider Keaschall to be a fast riser prior to the 2022 draft?
  4. Lee continuing to play SS is good. IF he gets recalled and is set to play another position, that SHOULD be ok right? I also see Cade Povich is starting for Baltimore today. Wish him well.
  5. If the draft fell this way, I'd much more (at this point) want the Twins to take any of the following 3 picks instead of Jordan. Brecht, Christian or Malcolm Moore all interest me more than Jordan. He is a great athlete, but I question the strikeout rate in college getting better in the pros. Slade Caldwell also would be a homerun at 21 in my opinion. Really fun to see mocks start to hit twinsdaily though. Thanks!
  6. Curious if Tampa would listen on Arozarena. He's been really bad to start this year, but he has been a star before.
  7. Luzardo would be fantastic here. But I don't know if the Twins would be able to pay more in prospects/trade package than Baltimore would (for example) for his services. The deadline will be fun though.
  8. Andrelton has to be #1 though right. Oof was that bad. Signing him to be the starting SS and that's what they brought.
  9. I don't see Severino as an option at all. Too many guys way ahead of him on the pecking order, and his numbers at AAA are extremely poor right now. What about Zebby Matthews? I almost see him as being more ready as a starter than Raya at this point. I also don't see a way that Rodriguez doesn't get a shot sooner if he keeps hitting like this. He is on the 40 man, which certainly means he is a phone call away. Jorge Polanco, if I remember correctly, got recalled directly from high A initially, maybe mostly because he was on the 40 man. Prospects don't NEED to have time at each level to prove they are ready, so I'd imagine Rodriguez, if there is an opening, gets a shot before others do BECAUSE he is on the 40 man now.
  10. Maybe this sounds crazy (it may be) but I would go to Emmanuel Rodriguez first, before Keirsey. No doubt Keirsey is having a good year, but Rodriguez is also having a hot start to the season and is also already on the 40 man. I don't love that both are left handed hitters, just for roster makeup. But that's the lean I would take right now.

  12. Curious, Darren Bowen had been slated to start for Cedar Rapids yesterday, but John Klein did instead. Anyone know if there is an update on Bowen? Thanks!
  13. Great writeup, as always. Excited to see Darren Bowen some more. Looking forward to following that game tonight too.
  14. Let's say, hypothetically, they do take Moore at 21 (as of today that would be the pick I would love based on who could be available) but then who would be good to pair him at 33? Prep is probably the way they go right, but would you lean an arm or a position player at that point? Because, I gotta say, Moore at 21 and buying one of the many intriguing prep arms down to 33 sounds exciting to me.
  15. Gotta say, I really like the idea of Malcolm Moore. He has a solid bat that SHOULD translate, and the Twins, if anything, can help a catcher refine their skills, similar to what they did working with Jeffers early on (at least in theory.) Great write up as always!
  16. Lewis and Lee getting healthy will certainly help this lineup. IF everyone is healthy at that point, that'll be a good problem :)
  17. Great article as always Seth! Now I have the tune of "how much wood can a wood chuck chuck" but trying to tie it to Mitchell Stone's somehow. I haven't gotten it to work in my head yet, but there has to be something there, right? :)
  18. His stuff is still pretty elite, it's always been command of it. IF he can get to anywhere close to average command, his stuff will play. But you are right, this ain't SEC competition.
  19. So Brecht may be figuring a few things out. Over his last 3 starts, he has thrown 7 2/3, 7 and 8 innings respectively, with 3, 3 and 2 walks, and 12, 11 and 13 k's. 2 earned runs total in that span. If he continues this, he won't at all be available at 21.
  20. I would be excited if the twins took Brecht. I don’t know how much to trust his command overall, but if they took him, that would tell me their trust their development enough to get him to meet his ceiling (even if his floor is a reliever potentially.)
