I like quiet and slow pace and nature. I really do want to become Tom Bombadil if possible. Nothing wrong with any of that :)

That's the north portion of the south island. Probably a 12 hour drive and then a ferry from where I am. But there really aren't highways here that drive anywhere NEAR as fast as what I remember in Minnesota. Still, not close.

I wish I knew. Course, NZ does have their own powerball. It seems quaint compared to US powerball numbers. I think the highest it ever got to here was 40 million, which is like 23 million US. But for a country that only has about 5 million people total, it's fun still to dream :)

Lots of reasons. Being by nature more, by the ocean more. I've always felt better when by water. A more stable government it seems (even though locals here don't love their government either.) I don't at all hate picking up our kids from school in the afternoon and not worrying throughout the day if something would happen. But really in the end, more it was the thought that we only live once, and we have a chance for an adventure, so let's go for it. I miss family. I miss friends. I miss being at baseball games. But I don't regret the move.

I'm actually really new to New Zealand. Moved here in April. Basically all family is still in the states. I always think of it has 7 hours ahead, but yesterday. That way calls in for us in the morning are in the afternoon in the states. Not too bad that way, and technology is WAY better for that than it probably was even 10 years ago. Like right now it's about 2:30pm and my kids are still in school. I like baseball games during the day, or even in the early morning.

They also use the term here "Rabbit in headlights" instead of "deer in headlights" just because there aren't anywhere close to the number of deer on roads as there are in Minnesota.

I think Clemens is a useful utility guy. I don't know that he should be a starter on a team. I don't know what to make of Royce; he has the bat speed but man does he chase a LOT. When he is hot, he is HOT. When he isn't, he almost looks unplayable. I think Lee is the 3b and Culpepper is the 2b if Marek Houston is ready. I also wouldn't be shocked if Tom Pohlad and the front office try to bring in a bigger name player for one of the spots and the team tries and figures it out. I mean, if he truly wants to win, then maybe that's a play. There was smoke around Neto, and I don't know if he is the answer, but the Twins were open to the idea. We'll see. Fun win today. Keep it up Zebby. And I do think Zebby with his control and his stuff is a LOT better chance to stick in the rotation than SWR was. I don't think that's a fair comparison at this stage of Zebby's career.

He hasn't all looked like a future reliever the last month or so. Fun to see Zebby look good without blister problems on his foot.

It was about A) He didn't force anything (he did) and B) and it only being about Keaschall's glove (it's more than that, but that is an issue,.) Do you like watching Buxton play hurt and Larnach not hit for 2 months while also seeing Keaschall not be able to defend in the outfield? You have a player that is A) Better than Buxton when Buxton is injured, B) better than Larnach for sure on defense and on the bases as well as probably with the bat, and C) certainly can move Keaschall to a less demanding outfield spot because Keaschall can't defend? Then THAT is what is happening here.

It’s pretty evident now that Larnach should have been dealt at the deadline, for whatever any offer would have been. Jenkins should be up, and probably Rodriguez too. The defense, the base running, and the offense as a whole would all be improved if that had taken place

I'd imagine Wallner could hold up better as a 6th inning reliever than as a defensive center fielder. I'm mostly serious about that, as I do think his best defensive position is dh.

Love his career, but I think Taylor Rogers leash is shorter.

I'd be more than fine with Emma in cf, Jenkins in lf and Keaschall in rf. But if Jenkins is in cf that's fine too.
