  1. I don't know. Maybe something happens, and maybe it doesn't. Clicks and rumors are fun aren't they?
  2. I mean, maybe? This also feels like a jump to conclusions mat. Still have to see what takes place no?
  3. But you can't say you get value if both players aren't potentially ready until 2028 or 2029.
  4. The Twins have said the starting point is two top 50 prospects, one who is ready soon and another who could be a lottery ticket type further away.
  5. I would push for one player who is a position player that could be a core level player going forward, as well as least one more player who is a high end lottery type ticket along with that first player.
  6. Go ahead in mlb the show if you like. You could even change all his ratings to 99 if that sounds good
  7. Apparently he was a big time prospect for the 2027 class and had a large deal already agreed to with the Yankees, but he had lied about his age. https://www.si.com/mlb/twins/onsi/minnesota-twins-news/twins-sign-dr-prospect-who-served-suspension-for-falsifying-his-age
  8. I mean, it was a couple of freak injuries. It’s also why he won’t cost a ton via trade potentially
  9. This isn’t Twins related, so I apologize for posting here. But yeah, good pitching is expensive. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/11/blue-jays-to-sign-dylan-cease-to-seven-year-deal.html
  10. That could be true. SO MANY paths that this offseason can go towards.
  11. There are, that's true. But via trade he won't cost all that much comparatively.
  12. I'd rather have Casas at 1b/DH (more DH maybe?) than I would Wallner at RF/DH. Just my opinion. But really, let's say Rodriguez or Jenkins or Roden all show they are better defensive options in the outfield than Wallner is. Then the question (nothing to say about Casas at all) is Wallner truly a core guy in 2027 ongoing? But yeah, I don't know that I see both of them here and that working. I agree with that.
  13. Just look at his 2023. That is a middle of the order type bat. I'd very much rather make a play for him compared to say mid 30's year old free agent.
  14. See, I'd very much be open to Casas and Mayer, especially if they don't see Brooks Lee as the guy at SS. That seems inevitable. I would VERY much be open to the GM job IF it can just be about 6 hours per week and only in a message board :)
  15. I do think now is the time to very much listen on Ryan. Height of his trade value, team control and you move him if you do get a HAUL. But yeah, you have to get back current help for him. Either 2 major leaguers, or one core hitter and one high upside arm or 2 is what I would need.
  16. My hope is a deal with Boston for Tristan Casas. They may need to look to move him anyway, and I think he has it in him to be a good player. Could even be more of a DH, but with health he has the type of bat to be a middle of the order bat.
  17. Maybe. But at the same time, we saw at the 2025 trade deadline the front office made a LOT of moves in a quick amount of time. They have the ability to make a number of moves, and once the minority owners are clarified, I would imagine a number of moves will happen between then and spring training starting. Minimum, a 1b/dh, 2-3 outside relievers and probably another trade or two at minimum.
  18. Agreed. Moves for them will very much go into January and February. LOTS of moves will happen, it just has to
  19. All of this tells me there will be a LOT to come this offseason. Moves are definitely coming.
  20. There is still like 8 more legit teams even if Boston is out. And they don’t have to trade him. I’m not at all convinced that Boston would have given the best offer for him anyway
  21. I can see a world where they make a trade of just Ryan for a haul while his value is highest. But I do think they need a real addition at 1b/dh along with it at minimum. They’ve needed a true middle of the order bat since Cruz has left and they haven’t addressed that. I don’t care that much about the dollar amount they spend on relievers to be honest. But they have to add some arms with good experience there
  22. Lee has a chance to hold it down. Hopefully he gets to spring training and isn't feeling any back issues like he did during spring training 2025. Also, Culpepper played 54 games at high A and 59 games at AA last year. Guaranteed he starts at AAA. It will be interesting to see how many games he actually does play at AAA. IF he really truly kills it in spring training, does he NEED a lot of AAA time?
