  1. I'd love to hear what an overwhelming offer for Keaschall would be. Truly. I don't think one actually exists for the current version of this team. Basically, he's not getting traded.
  2. Maybe? But they also have Culpepper who will be at AAA. Basically, I'm curious what a return would look like? I kind of expect a young core-type position player along with a couple of high upside arms.
  3. Maybe I should have just said Cholowsky then. He could be up in 2027, so if he is ready made, that would change the focus of returns no?
  4. I also think there is a chance they would wait until after the mlb draft lottery happens too. If they end up with the #1 pick (Roch Cholowsky) or the #2 pick (Grady Emerson) who are both ss's, that would also be a path where the type of return they receive from other teams wouldn't HAVE to prioritize the SS position.
  5. Depending on returns I'd be ok trading Ryan AND Ober this offseason. Have to listen at least. I hold onto Lopez for now. Possibly deadline.
  6. From a pure "you trade guys at the height of their value" standpoint; I keep coming back to now is the absolute time to listen on Ryan if nothing else. I'm not saying they have to trade him, but I have to think this offseason is the time that they would receive the most via trade.
  7. There is plenty of time to be honest. Unrelated; are you Twins Talker? Or Twin Stalker?
  8. This is one of those answers that either we will know come Friday afternoon, when the tender deadline is set. Or we will see a change between now and February. I guess I'd be surprised. IF Clemens is the primary 1b (which I'm not counting on, but let's say that's what is happening) how does Julien being his backup make sense? It's certainly not for the platoon advantage, and it's also certainly not for the defense he does or does not provide. I guess I'm trying to say I don't see Julien's fit on this roster. But if they CAN get his bat back, then maybe it works? I don't see that happening, but who knows at this point.
  9. Agreed with this. Ward is a good player, and this is definitely a gamble. Even if Rodriguez misses time, this is 4 years of value.
  10. Cult heroes who destroy AAA isn't the worst thing to ever happen. They aren't. The Saints certainly appreciate being able to win games too, even if that isn't the most important thing development wise. Anyway, LOTS of offseason left.
  11. I’m not advocating for him. If he goes, he goes. I was just saying he is easy to stash and seems like a good dude. Lots of movement still to come this offseason
  12. Not specifically Twins related but I thought this was a fun trade to read about. What this does tell me is Baltimore is going to be in the market for pitching they can trust.
  13. Or Keirsey, or McCusker, or Larnach, or Julien. I agree. Possibly something is up with Culpepper then?
  14. Gasper has two options left. He could spend 2026 in Saint Paul. He isn’t guaranteed to be on the 26 man at all
  15. They can still make trades. This Friday is the deadline for if they are going to offer arbitration or not. More to come
  16. I’m hopeful Culpepper doesn’t get picked. I’m also hopeful they make some more moves this week involving Julien and Larnach in particular. After that, the offseason should be interesting. For tonight though, I agree with who they kept otherwise and Ozre seems decent just looking at the stat line and his pitch mix
  17. My first thought when seeing this headline was "Wait, did the front office not think of this before right now? Are they not evaluating their players all the time?" And then I remembered this is just at a twins sight that I go to daily :) I will argue a little on Lee though, at least in comparison to Lewis. I don't know that Lee is definitely a SS a the major league level. I also don't think he is a superior defensive player at 3b compared to Lewis. Because of those two things, I would very much be open to moving Lee in the right deal. Lewis, for every injury over the last year plus, has at least shown solid defense at 3rd, and back in 2023 into 2024 showed high end production.
  18. I wouldn't do 1 for 1 for Adley for Ryan. But if Baltimore also wanted to include Coby Mayo with Adley for Ryan, that would be something very interesting to consider. At least in parameters of a deal.
  19. I think Lewis has #2 hitter in him. I also think Roden or Martin can be fine as a leadoff option in a pinch. Otherwise, Keaschall at #2 makes a lot of sense to me, with possibly Lewis at 3 and Buxton at 4? The talent is there, but have to get them to execute.
  20. I'm good with Buxton at 1, 3 or 4. He is the best power hitter on the team. IF Lewis can become more like his 2023 self with solid coaching, then we can work with that.
  21. I mean, arguably, Keaschall and Buxton could be pretty decent #3 and #4 hitters no? But yeah, we'll see how the offseason actually plays out
