I know Keaschall is still learning on defense in the outfield. But after a slow start of April, he arguably is their best hitter. Almost 300 average with 400 on base and over 400 slugging. I don't see a way that he isn't playing every day. Just have to find a spot where his defense hurts the least, but I still like his defense more than Larnach's. And yeah, maybe it is a thing that Buxton just isn't 100% in the field again this year. That certainly makes this answer interesting.

Curious, if he is to debut soon, there is a path with Roden just going back to aaa. If he plays well, AND Buxton is ready to go, how do you give regular playing time to Larnach, Buxton, Jenkins and Keaschall? How do you see the outfield setting up over the next couple of months? Do you move on from Bell at some point and just have Larnach DH? Do you not bring up Jenkins? Do you think Buxton is out longer?

Quick is a lot better than him, and frankly with his control issues, I take a few of the new college arms in the draft easily over him too.

I think either would have SOME value depending. Never have too much pitching.

If he can get right with Maki et al, I do see a path for him being ahead of Ober.

No chance Bradley isn't ahead of Ryan right now. And no chance Kremer pushes them both. But hopefully Kremer can be a #3 if possible

I am shocked Mayer went for a reliever like Miller. But maybe it is more name recognition than anything.

Berrios debuted as a 21 year old in April 2016. He was a comp 1st round pick in 2012 as a young high schooler. I can't imagine he was held back for service time in that regard.

Almost everyone initially. Aaron Hicks came up in what was too early. Jorge Polanco initially came up from high a. Joe Mauer spent no time at aaa. Almost the same with Miguel Sano. How about this, can you name someone they did keep down too long? I know the one example from Buxton after he already debuted. That was seemed like an outlier even at the time

You don't have to root for manipulation of service time. If/when he is ready, he will be up. And that's something that Terry Ryan and Derek Falvey did with hitting prospects.

I know that. And if a hypothetical trade for Hunter Greene never happens, I will absolutely LOVE seeing Culpepper in a Twins uniform. There aren't many players that are both potentially available AND I'd move Culpepper for. Houston is killing it at AA too. Good problem to have.

I do think if they can get a player like Greene, then finding a good solid defensive 2b will be easier than finding a SS. So if it isn't Culpepper at 2b in that scenario, maybe it's someone else they trade for or sign? I guess we'll see.

How far away do you think Marek Houston is from the majors? And truly, for his part, Kreidler hasn’t been bad at all

If Culpepper is your 2b instead of your SS, and you are getting Greene for the next 3 years, I would. I wouldn’t send Jenkins in this deal and Houston is the superior defender. Love Culpepper, but I would move him for someone with Greenes talent

Agreed. Looks at his numbers since June 1. They are right in line with the rest of his career. Poor start to the year notwithstanding.

Why? Do you see Larnach here in 2027? Do you think the adjustments he has made are the hitter he is now? Both of those could be true, but selling high makes sense. Abreu has been lights out in his career, and really since June 1 he has been lights out again. Bad start to the year, but do you really think he wouldn't be our best right handed reliever right now, or at least near the top of that list? Plus, with Jenkins knocking on the door, it would open up a full time spot for him, I fail to see the real problem here. Get real value for a player at the height of their value with a good replacement ready. But, maybe now it's a different move upcoming.

I know it didn't matter in the outcome overall, but there were definitely some toss up challenges that went Seattle's way, as well as some ABS challenges not called by Caratini towards the end, that also didn't help the outcome of the game. Still, fun to see our team be the one to play to the end and not give up. Win tomorrow.
