  1. I’m hopeful Culpepper doesn’t get picked. I’m also hopeful they make some more moves this week involving Julien and Larnach in particular. After that, the offseason should be interesting. For tonight though, I agree with who they kept otherwise and Ozre seems decent just looking at the stat line and his pitch mix
  2. My first thought when seeing this headline was "Wait, did the front office not think of this before right now? Are they not evaluating their players all the time?" And then I remembered this is just at a twins sight that I go to daily :) I will argue a little on Lee though, at least in comparison to Lewis. I don't know that Lee is definitely a SS a the major league level. I also don't think he is a superior defensive player at 3b compared to Lewis. Because of those two things, I would very much be open to moving Lee in the right deal. Lewis, for every injury over the last year plus, has at least shown solid defense at 3rd, and back in 2023 into 2024 showed high end production.
  3. I wouldn't do 1 for 1 for Adley for Ryan. But if Baltimore also wanted to include Coby Mayo with Adley for Ryan, that would be something very interesting to consider. At least in parameters of a deal.
  4. I think Lewis has #2 hitter in him. I also think Roden or Martin can be fine as a leadoff option in a pinch. Otherwise, Keaschall at #2 makes a lot of sense to me, with possibly Lewis at 3 and Buxton at 4? The talent is there, but have to get them to execute.
  5. I'm good with Buxton at 1, 3 or 4. He is the best power hitter on the team. IF Lewis can become more like his 2023 self with solid coaching, then we can work with that.
  6. I mean, arguably, Keaschall and Buxton could be pretty decent #3 and #4 hitters no? But yeah, we'll see how the offseason actually plays out
  7. I agree with you. For his credit, Clemens is actually pretty decent defensively at 1b. I don't see the point of having Julien defensively anywhere, so we'll see how the offseason goes.
  8. You think Julien is still with the team after tomorrow? I guess we'll see. But I do think trading for someone makes a ton of sense.
  9. I don't know that I can get there with having Clemens be penciled in anywhere. MAYBE as a utility guy on the bench, but as a starter I just can't get there. That's even IF they do trade some veterans.
  10. I think Gonzalez and/or Mendez can have all the time they need at AAA if they are working on 1B. I'd be surprised if Wallner is part of the 1b plan, but I guess we'll see closer to spring training. I hope they get someone else.
  11. They have to do something. Could also be via trade. But they need a true middle of the order type of hitter, and 1b or dh is a great spot to start.
  12. Per Jeff Passan. Adding here because 1b is definitely a need for the twins this offseason too
  13. Agreed. Frankly their budget SHOULD be more like 180. But I agree otherwise. Hoping for 100 feels like asking for more gruel.
  14. The Falvey led front office has been, for nothing else, really good about not having any leaks come out before something/anything happens. Thats not to say that they will nor won’t trade anyone. But thinking this came from someone inside the front office, to me, is just not feasible. My guess is it’s someone from the Mets that wants one or the other. Hopefully they have a good offseason
  15. I will love it if articles stop listing Prielipp as an early season bullpen option. That will be a great day
  16. I'd throw in Coby Mayo as an option. I also think, arguably, now is the time to truly listen on Ryan. I do not know if Baltimore can give the best offer, but I think you have to look at prospect lists and guys who have graduated prospect lists in the past 12 months or so. I have no want to move Lopez. Not now anyway.
  17. See, even last year Martin did play all 3 outfield spots and 2b. I'm not saying he should also play 3, but he can be a role/utility player on this team.
  18. You very well could be right. Maybe there isn't a market for him. That wouldn't shock me at all. I'm just guessing at the intention of what they would be looking for prior to just outright designating him. There very much are teams out there that have next to zero power who could see taking a chance on a former 1st round pick who actually hit righties pretty good in 2025.
  19. That could be too. With the 40 man deadline coming up on Tuesday to protect players from the rule 5 draft, I have to think lots of teams have players in the bucket that they don't REALLY want them on their 26 man roster anymore, and seeing if they can move that for something they need more of. For example, I would LOVE Sam Hentges from Cleveland if he is healthy this offseason. He's set to make about 3 million or so in arbitration. They probably aren't trading him to Minnesota, and especially not for Larnach, but that's the type of move I'm hoping for. A reliever who has good stuff who is probably coming off an injury.
