  1. No. Every single ball hit to the outfield, even to LF, or into the RF foul stands, is Torii's fault if the batter's not retired.
  2. It goes by another name: "dinner".
  3. Hunter having a little fun after Simon throws him a floater on 0-0. Not quite as much fun when he pops up foul to the catcher on a similar pitch 1-1. Score's 0-0 after two and a half. Your Circus Boy Update.
  4. RB tipped us off to expect good SS play from Iglesias, and he erased Santana with a nice play up the middle. Largely positioning, but it still had the earmarks of a clean single, and suddenly t'weren't.
  5. I think you're right, but it still doesn't speak well of his speed to not get home on a double with a head start. He did round third but got held up by the coach at the last second, and a faster runner would likely have been sent. It's really just my one gripe about Plouffe... he is SLOW.
  6. Same old Hicks. Flailing at pitches in the dirt. Never got a fastball, because he never proved that the pitcher needed to throw one. Just one at bat, but I expected a little better.
  7. Hey Halsey, how did you like Plouffe taking off from 1st, on an apparent hit-and-run,and STILL making it only to 3rd on a double?
  8. I guess Buxton might still have some of his bonus money available to pay for a billboard ad, if he wants.
  9. Why? His OPS is only .726 in AA. Oops, oh wait, that's his slugging average, alone.
  10. Heh, http://mlbstartingnine.com/ lists Hicks as batting right. Also, if the above lineup is correct, Suzuki bats between Vargas and Escobar, breaking up the sequence.
  11. They don't make a move without clearing it with the TD braintrust first.

  13. Agreed. And as I consider it also a crime, I am taking Engelb Vielma
  14. Attendance is something minor league teams care about, isn't it? I find it strange if they feel night games during the week would draw better than a Sunday afternoon game. Why would the two A level teams have an idle day in their schedule today?
  15. I know these things, but they pertain to the tools he's had since day 1. How have his routes been, in Rochester this year? Is he making the right throws to the right place? Etc. He looked lost in Ft Myers, for instance when weather conditions weren't optimal. I want a CF ready to rock and roll.
  16. How's his defense? He did not look like a major league center fielder during spring training.
  17. You know the wisdom on Wall Street - when the latest rally finally turns the most stubborn bear into a bull... SELL.
  18. I don't interpret it as anything except keeping him on the roster through the season, to retain his Rule-5 rights.
  19. It's cool. Just don't make eye contact, and pretend everything is copacetic. It'll be OK. Bet she doesn't even notice.
  20. Oh, good idea! ModCon'15 at Brian's house!
  21. He did compromise. Didn't you see? He went with her idea.
  22. How come the conversations all turn real quiet-like when I come back into a room?
