  1. Sure. Yep, yep. That's exactly what I was doing. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NWjlz4sbJnc/T3OpkWxrxwI/AAAAAAAAA4I/XgVWZFXbhrs/s220/cool-story-bro-chair-gif.gif
  2. Wait, you endorse letting him half-ass it through a season?
  3. Quoting my own post to add spice, I'm happy to be proved incorrect by a standup triple.
  4. Buxton's gonna have trouble all night against this guy. Too much motion on all his pitches.
  5. Correlates to pitching from the stretch.
  6. That post wins the No-Bell Prize, because it sure didn't ring my chimes.
  7. "I often quote myself; it adds spice to my conversation." -- George Bernard Shaw
  8. This is why I was saying from the start to give him time to develop as a decent third baseman. Some things come only from experience, but plays like that are either there from the start or never. He's not the complete package yet, and I wouldn't try to defend him as league average, but he's coming along.
  9. This might be a partial explanation for the need for so many.
  10. Maybe no one will wonder about this, but I feel like mentioning that giving the pitcher the benefit of the doubt is not simply one scorer's opinion, or even the collective wisdom of the guild of scorers down through the years, but is written explicitly in the rulebook.
  11. I worry that we will look back and decide Colon's 5-inning 3-run effort was the best in this series.
  12. I had two of these, so, may as well use them.
  13. BTW, Pence shaking his head no was just for the pun, not a prognostication that turned out to be true.
  14. So, the chicken goes into tupperware, to be served another night, and a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios for dinner instead?
  15. The timing of the discussion was hardly coincidental, although the immediacy of the longball perhaps was.
  16. Used to be a recipe for a fastball buzzed under somebody's chin. That remedy is frowned on nowadays. But in any case, if the baserunner can see the catcher, the catcher can see the baserunner; you can't get away with signaling for long
  17. Nice routine night at the office for Buxton.
  18. Let me direct your attention to Sano's arm. Again.
