  1. It's not a flaw. It reflects an emerging consensus on what's important, with the other factors favored by one analyst or another affecting the margins.
  2. This was the White Sox. He's not the only guy they've made look like Smokey Joe Williams this season.
  3. Mod note: It's the age-old problem, directed to the membership in general and specifically to just the two of you, to please not make it reflexively be about other posters, and don't try to mind-read or psychoanalyze. All that mocking does is set up an argumentative atmosphere, whether intended humorously or not. Other posters are allowed to have an opinion different from your own, without it being "angst" or a case of group-think on their misguided part.
  4. Welp, I'd like to stay and watch the conclusion of this fine game, but Mrs Ash is giving me that come-hither look so I'd better make my way to the bedroom. It's time for my laxative.
  5. Risky. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1w8n0L3uUCE
  6. Sano's lack of hustle around the bases is forgiven this time.
  7. Save that for a game in San Diego, where they stay classy.
  8. Medical procedures can do that to ya. / I see that I was ninja'd by an observation about weight loss before surgery
  9. You get ducks on the pond, you sometimes bunt 'em over.
  10. When will we see his son promoted to the majors? Semi-Colon, I believe is the name.
  11. I had no quarrel with how he took third base. But then that lack of hustle going home. Luckily he touched the plate in time.
  12. Sano made a poor turn at third, probably costing him a step.
  13. Buxton loafs it into second. Fine him!
  14. Maybe. But I'm with Chief on being aggressive in that situation, and Sano wasn't on the same page whatsoever, IMO. Short of insubordinate, but you have to go hard, and let the base coach make those decisions. Sano's got major league speed. I'd think differently if it were, say, Mauer.
  15. I just figured out what that ugly Arizona snake head was reminding me of.
  16. It looked like Sano was Lollygagging from second to third and didn't notice Glynn was asking for wheels until too late.
  17. OK, what happened at third base to result in something that bad? Glynn really waved Sano home?
  18. Gilbert & Sullivan, George Bernard Shaw, and Tom Swifties, all in one thread.
  19. "The size of those cobs is a-maize-ing!" Chief joked cornily.* * Stolen from Tom Swift.
