  1. Winder, Wallner. Mack discuss change to catcher
  2. Great job Seth. Hope Tom gets an opportunity with Twins next year. Every team needs a sidewinder on their pitching staff. Fun to see different side of player, look forward to future spotlights.
  3. Garver/Jeffers at catcher maybe sign vet to minor league deal for insurance. Like Adrianza as 2nd utlility infielder, he was best defensive infielder for Twins last year and can play all 4 positions. Then sign Hernandez type as primary utility infielder. Twins FO like to have multiple options, can see Gordon/Blankenhorn/Lewis for callups incase of injury.
  4. Maybe be more pitchers available than you think. Will probably be more nontendered players this year, Stevenson will be kept by Cin. since at minimum but other pitchers in the 3-6 mil range that teams may move on from. Twins may be thinking about nontendering Rogers, can understand argument for this but hope he is back.
  5. I am not very familiar with pitchers on other teams especially relievers, who is available. Yes, Twins need to find another WIsler this year. Always afraid of aging pitchers, maybe avoid hoping to get one more good year out of a past their prime pitcher.
  6. Yes, anxious for information on prospects. Unfortunately, probably not going to be much given no MiLB and no stats from alternate sites. Looking forward to Prospects Handbook, whatever form it will be, I am sure will read every word.
  7. Really enjoying these discussion, great job. I agree with y'all, Rosario hard to bring back. Rogers only one that is not an easy sign, but would bring him back.
  8. If Cruz not back and don't sign front line starting pitcher, Sano could be second highest paid player on team. Hoping Twins let Rooker, Kirilloff be up at start of season. Cave as 4th OF.Sign decent IF backup like Hernandez, give Blankenhorn a shot, Jeffers is no-brainer for me. Sign FA pitcher or Odorizzi, along with Dobnak at SP,one solid RP maybe Treinen, along with May, Rogers, then look for the next Wisler. Still have Stashek, Littel, Theilbar, Smeltzer, Thorpe to battle for last 2 spots.Has to be some Twins pitching prospects ready to get a shot in MLB, only pitcher made their MLB debut last year for Twins-Colina for one out. Hopefully play a full season next year and young pitchers get opportunities.
  9. Why would anyone trade for Rosario. Twins will nontender him and someone can sign him for less then what Rosario would get in arbitration. Free agency will be interesting this year, the top players will probably still get top dollar but others might be signed at bargain rates.
  10. If Twins can do another Maeda type trade where Twins give up a player of good value but receive a high quality player that fills a need, then yes/
  11. Great job last night, enjoyed it. I am for putting the Twins money towards pitching, seems to be weaker with MLB ready prospects. Not a fan of signing aging pitchers, no Hill or Romo, apprehensive about Clippard. Add FA starter-Odorizzi? and closer. Hitting may be some drop off from Cruz and Rosario with young players, hope would not be worse than Marwin, Avila, and Adrianza. May be able to find cheap FA shortstop, infield player. Difficult to predict FA market this year, may be some bargains out there.
  12. Agree Twins generally need to look at Musgrove type pitchers. Someone who has potential, probably not going to be able to afford or attract the top free agents. Twins do have some trade capital with prospects, but would hate to part with any of the top prospects. How about Cave, Wade, or some lower prospects.
  13. With this shortened year did not get to see many young pitchers. In 2019, 9 pitchers made their MLB debut with the Twins, 2020 only one, for 1/3 of an inning. Should be some young pitchers get their opportunity in 2021. By the way, of the 9 pitchers who made their debut in 2019, 4 are no longer with the Twins and I think only two were on playoff roster this year-Dobnak and Stashek. Hoping for better results the next couple of years.
  14. Like top 3 for next year, couple of questions; can they consistently pitch into 7th inning and will RB let them pitch into 7th, Would like to add proven starter, Odorizzi? and 1-2 other possible starters to compete with Dobnak and Duran, maybe Thorpe or Smeltzer can bounce back.
  15. Thope, Smeltzer are 2 years from arbitration, will likely be somewhere in Twins system next year. Both have looked good at times, but have struggled to go more than 3-4 IP at a time, maybe bullpen candidates.
  16. Why trade away someone you are under paying? Keep them, then you can over pay for a key piece you are missing. Resign Cruz and/or add pitching. Seems pitching is the biggest question mark in Twins system.
  17. I like Wade, seems to be a good teammate, plays hard, plays within himself. But I agree, maybe time to move on to prospects with higher potential. Look for Wade and Cave to be on roster to start season, with eventual replacement by Kirilloff, Rooker, and/or Larnach.
  18. Some of the biggest questions are what the season will look like. Will there be a normal season with spring training, minor league baseball, attendance at games? With all the uncertainty, can see Twins tightening the budget. Twins appear to have plenty of young players on cusp of breaking into MLB, maybe they go cheap and give them a shot.
  19. Adrainza would be cheap, even if you sign him will not be out much if someone moves past him for playing time, With that said, I am all for a youth movement, Time to give Gordon, Blankenhorn, Jeffers, Kirilloff, and Rooker opportunities to see what they can do at MLB level, Lewis and Larnach may be mid to late season callups.
  20. Think attendance will be upgraded to limited maybe 10,000 per game. Cruz is a big question mark for me, maybe bring back only if price is right. Hitting is waiting in St. Paul, give some young player a chance. Pitching is always in flux, especially relievers, will need to add a couple but again there are some young pitchers that should get their opportunity. I know RB likes veteran players but some of present Twins will need to take on that role instead of adding someone.
  21. Great list, hard to argue about order. Thanks Cooper.
  22. Twins were here last year, had checkbook in hand to pay for top pitching and no one wanted to come to Minnesota. It will not be as easy as just paying top dollar for a top pitcher. Maeda worked out great this year, someone like him, that is a little under appreciated. Position players, I am in for a overhaul, but maybe not to the extent your asking for, a youth movement with prospects. I am not in for Cruz, major drop off last month, is that a sign of things to come, definitely not 2 year contract.
  23. Would be nice to win tonight and tomorrow, making Sunday's game less significant. Twins can't look past the Reds, they have been playing well lately.
  24. Love what the FO has done, plenty of significant decisions coming this offseason. Some older players that their performance has fallen off somewhat. Would like to see an infusion of young players next year.
  25. Having pitched in playoffs before definitely will help. Hope Meada continues to impress, Twins pitching staff in much better shape going into playoffs this year compared to last year.
