  1. Can we just move Arraez to the lead off spot where he belongs? He only needs 373 PA to get eligible for the batting title. Just under 6 per game
  2. MadBum - No Stroman - No Boyd - No Thor - Getting closer, but no Grienke - No, unless Arizona eats a ton of money deGrom - Yes
  3. I think the original poster using the words “clear $100M per year” certainly makes it incorrect, but if you factor in that the value of the franchise likely goes up by more than 50M annually, you can get much closer to that 100M number.
  4. On the prospect side, what's the absolute most you'd give up for deGrom. I'm talking, "hold your nose, say a prayer, swallow hard, and slowly say yes" absolute most. I'd do Royce Lewis, Graterol, and Gordon.... and if they asked real nice, I'd probably throw in a couple 15-20 guys. I realize that's a ton of prospect capital, but man, you're getting, and absolute ace for the top of your rotation.
  5. You could just as easily call it "middle third"
  6. If I remember correctly, Law wasn't very high on Graterol in his preseason rankings
  7. Let me guess... Tony Clark also wants the draft spending limits to go away?
  8. Not that it really matters, but it stinks that Kepler gets tagged with a big negative WPA on that Buxton play, when he actually accomplished what we needed him to accomplish.
  9. I’m surprised so many of you don’t have a Twitter account. If for no other reason that to follow Twins news
  10. All told, I’d expect: Polanco Kepler Berrios Rogers With Odorizzi eventually making is as others withdraw
  11. It’s a 100% lock that Kepler makes it. Not that he couldn’t make it on merit alone, but the commissioners office has final say and I’m SURE MLB would love their first European born all star in quite some time. Especially right after the Yankees/Red Sox series.
  12. This ump has been on point with his strike zone.
  13. Also 2.2 AB/K A HR against a middling AAA pitcher does change my opinion of him. But if it gets him out of his horrendous slump, good
  14. Oh no no no.... The official scorer called that a hit. Which, if that’s not an error, then just stop tracking that stat.
  15. There are people that work in factories for 10 hour shifts and Bremer is acting like Cave couldn’t possibly even jog to 2nd base because of this 6 hour game
  16. Too be fair. It was definitely not a strike
  17. Arraez 3 hits. Average has gone down.
  18. Hey, Blue, you’re supposed to shrink the zone in the 16th
  19. A couple morning directs from Lehigh valley to O’Hare
  20. https://www.flyabe.com/flights/departing-flights/
  21. They are playing Lehigh Valley right now (and they have a decent airport), so he probably connected on Delta through Detroit (6am) or drove to Philly and caught a direct.
  22. I'm not thinking it was about money. It's not like he has a team option that he'd like to pick up or get removed. I also don't see a scenario where it would be about getting an extension. I think it's purely about having more control about where he was potentially going to end up.
