  1. Another website used Melky Cabrera as a comp. I think 2011-2016 Melky is Wade's ceiling. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/c/cabreme01.shtml
  2. I can’t imagine very many people would say 4th OF is Wade’s ceiling. It might be his most likely outcome, but his ceiling is higher than 4th outfielder.
  3. I love how signing a 29yo to a long contract is somehow incredible, but a 31yo is pure insanity. We all know the bell curves, but that is over thousands and thousand of baseball players. This is one dude.
  4. I feel like getting to know this guy would be like getting to know the family that is VRBOing your neighbor's house for a week.
  5. I'd gladly take a slight drop in sprint speed for 15-20lbs of bulk that turns those flyouts, doubles, and triples into homeruns. Eddie's best attribute will always be his hands. I want some bulk behind those hands. Anything better than "below average" on defense, is a bonus, in my opinion
  6. Really enjoyed these the last two weeks. I thought your segment with Slegers was the best so far, it was the most like a conversation as opposed to an interview.
  7. I was listening to the pod while driving, with one earbud in because there were three other people in the car. About half way through, Aaron’s audio cut out. I listened for a while because a) you could barely make him out from John’s mic, and b.) I didn’t have anything better to listen to. Eventually I switched buds randomly (L to R) and then all I got was Aaron’s audio, so I listened to the final 20 minutes with both buds in. Not sure if you guys flipped a setting at some point. It happened right before the RX Bar ad break.
  8. I looked on Minnesota Sports Weekly when I posted the original question. It was not there then, but it is there now. For iPhone users, just subscribe to that podcast. I assume this will be the most consistent way going forward.
  9. I’d rather pay a much higher price for 4 years of Archer.
  10. Falvey and Levine seem like logical men. It seems completely logical to me, that if you sign Darvish, you trade for Archer (unless the asking price is just completely over the top). Signing Darvish opens the door and with a little prospect luck could move you toward WS contention. Doing both flings that door wide open and gives you a legit 4 year window of WS contention.
  11. 4/120 - yes 5/140 - yes 5/150 - reasonable, but I’m getting uneasy. 6/155 - yes 6/165 - I could talk myself into it. 6/175 - pass, but I’ll be sad 6/200 - run!
  12. Do a forum search for “2018” and sort it in ascending order. Some late 2012 and early 2013 projections werent all that bad.
  13. I'd put Baddoo over Kirilloff if I was guessing
  14. As someone who has had the daily Minor League scoreboard bookmarked in my iPhone for 5+ years, I have to say, last year was the year i used it the least. 2-3 years ago I was constantly checking out all of our prime prospects. And it seemed like there were guys at every level. And a bunch of position players that I wanted to track daily. Last year (especially before the draft) was pretty boring. The pool had diminished, a lot of the guys worth keeping track of were hurt, many were relievers with inconsistent schedules, and most of the remaining guys were starting pitchers that only needed to be checked in on once a week. I'm looking forward to a new year of checking the MiLB Twins scoreboard multiple times per day.
  15. That picture (especially the thumbnail size) looks a lot like Glen Perkins.
  16. Span at Tampa could provide two things as it relates to a trade with MN. A) if Tampa is trading Archer, then they will not want Span's salary on the books B.) if they want Rosario or Kepler, then Span would be a decent stop-gap that would cost $23m for his remaining two years
  17. If a team can just stash a rule 5 guy on the 60 day DL then something is wrong with the system. I feel like the rules haven't caught up with the steep increase in injuries that cost players a year or more of development.
  18. I'm fine with Rodney as part of a successful offseason. Since it's only Dec 15, there's still a good chance that will happen.
  19. Plenty of good names left: http://www.spotrac.com/mlb/free-agents/relief-pitcher/available/
  20. While I am certainly a "let's wait and see" kind of guy that gives the benefit of the doubt, I will admit that the the combination of not signing anyone yet, and who we left exposed for the rule 5 draft does have me scratching my head a bit.
