Twins short on starting pitching?? WOW!! NO ONE saw that coming!!! After all those off season signings they didn't make, I was sure the brilliant front office and the always ready to spend Pohlads had that all covered!! I'M SHOCKED!!!

As long as the Pohlads are making millions, that's all I care about. Why pay for a top pitcher when there are bad ones everywhere for cheap!! They just picked up a career .237 hitter that'll fit right in I'm sure. Before long he'll be striking out just like the rest of them. The bottom line is all I care about as a fan. Make a profit, that's it!!!! Sarcasm aside, this may work out better than I first thought. Twins continue to play as they are and that frees up the whole summer to do other thing!! HMMM.........................................

Twins are down 3-0, top of the 3rd. Game over! Prove me wrong!! -
Because WE as Minnesota Sports fans are part of the curse of all our Pro sports teams: Wild: financially handcuffed by the Parise & Suter contracts which were signed before the NHL changed the rule. (I know they knew about it but still....) Vikings: Looking like everything was starting to gel..........QB out for the season! Timberwolves: After last year, this year the team is looking great, jelling together.......KAT goes down!!! We'll see how this turns out. Not to mention NEVER moving up in the rigged NBA lottery!! Twins: Buxton; Superstar talent.....can't stay on the field! WAIT!!! Now we also have another Superstar talent....Royce Lewis......(1 game 2 ab's and back on the shelf for at least a month) can't stay on the field! It's the Minnesota (Big 4) Pro Team curse. I grew up watching the Vikings make 4 Super Bowls (0 wins). Never would have thought that after 62 years, I'd still be waiting for the 1st SB Win!! It makes you wonder whomever the poor soul who the Vikings draft as the next QB probably doesn't stand a chance!! What malady awaits him? Only time will tell!!

The Pohlad bought the Twins in 1984 for 36 million adjusted for inflation to 2023 would be $105,475,752. As of March 2023 the Twins franchise is worth $1.39 billion. So, in 40 years the value of the franchise has increased the Pohlad family wealth by a mere $1.2+ billion! I'm pretty sure the Pohlad family will still somehow survive IF they spent a little extra one year and lost some money in order to win a championship! I guess winning a title no longer translates into more revenue!!

Can the Twins Unlock RHP A.J. Alexy?

Typical TWINS move! I wish Calvin would have sold the Team to someone who wanted to win first instead of making money 1st, 2nd, 3rd, then 4th win!! -
A New Position for Royce Lewis?
wipster replied to Ted Schwerzler 's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
The Twins have needed a right-handed bat out there all year, and while Michael A. Taylor holds the lumber from that side of the plate, he rarely does anything with it. I find it odd that I'm always reading about how terrible M.A. Taylor is at the plate. Buxton has 58 hits and Taylor has 55 (in 45 less AB). 17 hr for Buck, 12 for Taylor etc. I seem to recall when Buxton first came up (and couldn't hit his weight then either), everyone talked about how many runs he saved in CF. OK, using that logic, while Buxton was a gold glove winner in 2017, Taylor won one in 2021! So why is that logic, that defense can save runs, no longer being employed? The Twins even had Gallo and his .179 BA out in CF not long ago, ahead of Taylor. So, just so I'm sure I understand what I'm hearing and seeing (realizing there's nothing to write home about either one, but....): Taylor, .222 ave- 12 hr- 30 rbi- 2021 Gold Glove winner in CF= keep on bench only use as last resort! Buxton, .198 ave- 17 hr- 40 rbi- can NOT play anywhere in the field= play daily/superstar(potential)! ......don't even get me going about the strike outs!!- 67 replies

Only a 30% overpay from the Twins? Our brilliant FO wouldn't stand for that! Throw in another upper prospect. Then, I'm sure Goldschmidt would be injured about a week after the trade and be out for the rest of the year. Meanwhile, our traded players flourish for various Cards major/minor league teams. NOW, that sounds a little closer to reality!
