  1. For the month of May, Gallo is 13-75 (.173) with 34 Ks, 16 walks, and one doink.
  2. Imagine the Twins scoring with the bases loaded.
  3. I'd rather non have Castro ever swing on 3-0.
  4. I thought Vazquez would be a good addition, but he's slugging at .255 and his defense is pretty average.
  5. Yes. This is a pretty interesting deep dive about that race: https://sabr.org/journal/article/the-1967-al-pennant-race-the-30315229-to-1-possibility/
  6. There was a great pennant race in the AL that year: Tm W L GB 1 Boston Red Sox 92 70 __ 2 Detroit Tigers 91 71 1 3 Minnesota Twins 91 71 1 4 Chicago White Sox 89 73 2
  7. Kepler hurt, Polanco hurt, Larnach sick, Miranda in AAA.
  8. The FS1 announcers are really befuddled over the early substitutions, (AJ Pierzynski is the color guy.)
  9. Agreed, What if they bring in a righty later. There are a lot of innings left.
  10. I grew up in Rochester, NY, and back then the Red Wings were the AAA affiliate of the Orioles. I went to a jillion games as a kid and saw most of those great players.
  11. It looks like he's throwing a sweeper now too, which is basically bigger breaking slider. https://www.si.com/mlb/2023/05/19/angels-shohei-ohtani-sweeper-pitch-imitate
  12. We got a break on that weird double play pivot by Odor, We'll take it!
  13. Very nice play, but I thought that might be an easier play for Correa.
  14. I guess I'm just getting old and cranky but it sure seems like the team has had a very low baseball IQ in the Falvey/Baldelli era.
  15. Watching Gallo every day, he just cannot get to a high fast ball with that extreme uppercut swing of his.
  16. Not bad -- 10 of his 15 pitches were strikes.
  17. Anyone know what percentage of the Twins' runs this season have come via the HR ... and where they rank in MLB?
  18. Lost the strike zone. Shoddy fielding behind him.
  19. Anyone know who is/isn't available out of the bullpen tonight after yesterday's marathon?
