  1. You're probably right. Only 11 pitches thrown by Jax -- wouldn't mind seeing him go another inning.
  2. Let's hope this one goes to 11. Fun fact: In "Spinal Tap" Christopher Guest based the look of his character on guitarist Jeff Beck (recently departed).
  3. FWIW MLB.tv is a free perk provided over the last few years to TMobile cell phone customers. But yes, if you live in the local broadcast area you have to deal with the blackout restrictions.
  4. Yeah, a lot of bad at bats. 28 pitches by Soroka through three innings.
  5. In case others are interested: https://www.ocregister.com/2024/04/28/angels-promote-zac-kristofak-who-hopes-to-inspire-others-who-have-endured-tragedy/
  6. I get it that launch angle and hitting for power are vital. This roster is very one-dimensional and we can't steal bases or even run the bases very well due to the nature of the roster. So when the HRs don't show up, it's very difficult to produce runs. Even in this era it seems like the best offenses have at least some ability to manufacture runs without the long ball.
  7. You might want to adopt an NL team. I suggest the Reds; they are young, athletic, and can hit. Sort of the anti-Twins,
  8. Yeah, I was confused by that too. Not a good call by Provus to say the runner may have left early.
  9. Robert is on the 10 day IL (hip). Moncado is on the 60 day IL (adductor).
  10. I mentioned that Vasquez was last. Next worst is actually Julien Rk. 11. Correa has the fifth best sprint speed among the 11 Twins who have enough attempts to qualify for this list.
  12. Good guess, he is the third worst at 25.2 ft/sec. By the way only three Twins rank above the league average (27.0): Buxton, Martin, and Castro,
  13. Miranda pretty slow getting to first on that DP. I checked his sprint speed on Baseball Savant, but apparently he doesn't have enough attempts on the season to register. Vazquez ranks as the slowest Twin (24.5 ft/sec). Any guesses as who is the second slowest?
  14. So some outs really are better than strikeouts?
  15. A thrown on a long hop is easier to handle than a ball in the air when a runner is bearing down on you, IMHO.
