  1. Minimum 4-1, or I think it's over. I actually think it's over, because 4-1 seems very unlikely.
  2. If Salvi didn't already have a ring, I'd feel sorry for him. The Royals are pathetic.
  3. Gray should demand 106 from Baldelli.
  4. Fans .... Soul .... Tradition .... Roccobot does not compute !!!!!
  5. "They’re hoping to have the likes of Simeon Woods Richardson, Jordan Balazovic, Ronny Henriquez, Blayne Enlow, and Cole Sands give them real starter innings. Everyone mentioned there is close ..." You're kidding, right? SWR? Maybe. The rest of that group is nowhere near ready to be starting games in MLB, unless losing is the goal. The old group is intact? They're all on or should be on the IL. How is fast emergence to take place with the new group, when half of them are chronically on the IL? How does this tripe (this and the nonsense about being built for October) get on the front page? Booooo.
  6. Love the pitch clock (see Louie Varland) but I think the rule should be eased in over the course of next season. Maybe a couple warnings through May. One warning through July. Full rule enforcement in August and September. Playoffs? I don't know. Manfred Man needs to go, or, at the very least, it shouldn't be used until the 12th or 13th inning. I wish the hitters would just learn to adjust to the shifts, but I'm OK with adjusting shift rules for game balance. I don't care much for the larger bases. The Twins' disregard for defending or getting advantage in the running game will mean this rule hurts them more compared to other teams.
  7. He'd probably be fine on another team, but with this team participating or preventing base-running advantage appears to be an afterthought.
  8. If there is a stat for team base-running WAR, I'm pretty sure the 2022 Twins would be close to the bottom all-time.
  9. Perkins: "That's Twins base running in a nutshell. Could have been a sac fly, but it turns into a double-play.' ??
  10. Don't even need a hit ... Just contact and lack of stupidity
  11. They're just making Cave look good. He needs something to differentiate himself and keep a job.
  12. Oh, I'd let him go, but I just don't think Baldy will.
  13. Yeah, that first pitch grounder for the third out was a godsend. He'll only get the 5th.
  14. Such a terrible showing, but Cleveland lost. Two games separate three mediocre teams from the one playoff spot that is handed to the ALC. With the intradivision play being reduced next season, it is not that hard to see a sub-500 team winning the ALC in 2023. That would be the ultimate joke.
  15. Pretty amazing debut for the young man. 10 pitch walk Home run (called by Joey Votto and analyzed by Barry Larkin) Another walk 9th inning double Scores a walk-off game winning run on a single by likely perennial star teammate Jonathan India. Apparently he was the first Reds rookie in 90 years to score a walk-off run in his debut. Forget about who will win the trade and all that. That's a special debut for Steer, and something that makes baseball fun to watch.
  16. Also, Joey Votto called Steer's first homer. In the booth, since he's out for the year.
  17. Homer in his second PA!
  18. Link to MLBTR Article The former Twin prospect sent to Cincinnati as part of the Tyler Mahle trade should make his debut sometime this weekend. Here is a Reds Fan site article on how he could get into the lineup. UPDATE: Batting 7th and playing 3rd tonight
  19. 5-5 ... I think I'm being optimistic, but that seems to be about what they do ... There's a decent chance the White Sox boot one into the W column for the Twins.
  20. Good pictures! I'm still glad you took the time to type the thousands of words. The Fruity Pebbles Shrimp Po' Boy looks like one of the items that were cut from this Half-Baked movie scene.
