  1. If I turn my head just right, I can imagine Jim Leyland passing out those heaters to eleven-year-olds waiting excitedly to burn one with Tekulve. "One for you, one for me, one for you ..........."
  2. Couldn't this have just been part of the game recap/summary
  3. Weiner, Weiner, Cheekin' Deener
  4. Julien having an excellent game
  5. For any Pixies fans out there ... "C'mon, Alex, you can do it ... C'mon Alex there's nothing to it"
  6. Rejoice! Royce just gave Ragans a Royal Ramming.
  7. Lefties hitting against lefties? FALVINATOR 4000 DOES NOT COMPUTE
  8. Not quite in baseball shape, but in pretty good beer drinking shape
  9. Happy Opening Day, All! Looks like Daniel Duarte just became the default Sire of Fort Myers. That's not really news, but it's official. Anyhoo .... Go Pablo! Go Twins!
  10. Damn, Montgomery just signed with the Snakes. That Goodrum cash may have been enough to push Joe P into a deal. Oh wait, it's Tampa. Nevermind, it won't be much cash, but it may include a couple more pages from the "How To Win on the Cheap" tome.
  11. Blewett - Great name for a relief pitcher
  12. That's only half the participants.
  13. Maybe he forgot to pack for the trip north.
  14. Nice recap, Theodore! Some thoughts ... - Julien did a good job staying under cover - I can still feel the wind from the whiff on Cavaco, and Corbin Carroll sure would look good in a Twins uni. - I'd rather see Wallner and Kirilloff start on Opening Day, but I'm guessing we will see Margot and Vazquez instead (with Jeffers at DH). - Gray and Holland should just keep grinding, if it works for their families. See Wisdom, Patrick and to a lesser extent Maggi, Drew.
  15. Another sweep to start the season would be fun. Of course, Joey Gallo and Trevor Larnach won't be available, so it might be tough.
  16. It should be a big puffy flannel shirt and axe, imo.
  17. Damn, came back and took the lead only to give it up and get walked off. There's another game tomorrow.
  18. One must be Gallo. I know he signed with the Nats.
  19. This seems like a hasty dismissal of a group. Okert has actually looked good, and Jackson looks completely servicable as 5th or 6th guy. Topa's looked rough, but he does have a .500+ BABIP against. I'll give you Staumont, and I won't be surprised if he gets optioned and is replaced by Duarte once Duran and Thielbar hit the IL.
  20. You've convinced me. I'm betting half the farm* on the Rockies (14-8 in ST) and the other half on the Nationals (14-9 in ST) to make it to the NLDS. *The only farm that I can possibly claim ownershp on exists in a Minecraft world on a PC in my basement.
  21. "The Twins are in much better shape with starting pitching than a vast majority of teams around the league" This is why I'm not too worried about the rotation to start the season. Looking around the division, Louie Varland is probably the best healthy 5th starter. The Minnesota starters should also have the benefit of more run support than any of the other rotations in the division.
  22. Huh, Cole Ragans? WTFIT. Looks like Julien and Wallner might have to wait another year to be Opening Day starters.
