  1. This may be completely unrelated, but the Disagree, Sad and Haha reaction pics are broken for me. Love and Like are fine. I tried two different browsers and made sure no Ad-Blockers were running. EDIT: Could by my environment. Works fine on mobile.
  2. It's been over 50 years since the Twins had a guy walk 100 times. Mauer, Knoblauch, Lawton and Chili Davis played horseshoes and hand grenades with the number. Julien has a shot if he stays healthy, keeps a grip on the leadoff spot and improves a bit against lefties. 100 Walks and 100 Runs for Eddie in 2024!
  3. Ted, you get bonus points for using "disseminated" in the article. Being able to say that word is a key part of the color job. 🙂 Provus is going to be great. Morneau is growing on me. A series or two with Hawkins is always fun - "That's not a strike!". More Perkins and less Smalley can fill out the rest of Morneau's off-days, IMO. The Trevor Plouffe experiment can also be over.
  4. I'd also like to see them at least kick the tires on the Manaealator.
  5. I think she wants a child with innate Christmas spirit. 😄
  6. Schedule blood work for the day after a holiday (Super Bowl in my case) like my dumbass did. That'll allow you to reach a higher level of scolding. Tip: Go heavy on options that include or are basically all cheese.
  7. I thought I was behaving like the subjects of the article sans going to Target Field. 🙂
  8. Niko Goodrum - WHOOP-DEE-FRIGGIN'-DOO!!
  9. What a great blog post and collection of responses! I was born in the 70s and didn't really get into baseball until the mid-late 80s, so I only have the vicariously imagined stories that my grandfather told me about his depression-era neighbor baseball experiences in St. Charles, MO. Some of the best ones ... A kid in his neighborhood had the last name Klutz, and he was the best infielder of any of the kids. He sparingly collected Goudy (sp?) baseball cards that came with gum, and he was "lucky" to get a few Dizzy Dean cards. Everybody in the neighborhood was a Dizzy Dean fan, so he was able to trade the doubles in 2 and 3 for 1 trades for other player cards he wanted like Frank Frisch, Rogers Hornsby and others. His sister married a ball player named Ken Heintzelman, and he ended up living with them out in Pittsburgh for a couple summers while Kenny played for the Pirates. He even got to bat boy several times. The Waner brothers were both on those Pirate teams. He came back from the war in the mid-40s, and his sister had thrown out all his baseball cards during a family move. Goldmine in the garbage. 😄
  10. Who is your all-time favorite Twin? Kirby Puckett Jack Morris Jack Morris, unless Curt Schilling or Ty Cobb played for them and I forgot. ... [Hides custom 1937 Ben Chapman Washington Senators jersey that he paid $599 to have made after watching "42"]
  11. 97% (a stretch in reality) of TD readers is very small percentage of Twins fans.
  12. Kansas City is looking to improve their farm system at the deadline in 2024. JMHO.
  13. My favorite reaction on MLBTR regarding the big market teams: Yankees to Acquire two 40-man players from Dodgers
  14. Not Dodgers, Yankees, White Sox or Astros = 👍
  15. The two deals cited were pretty good examples of overypays, IMO. The Twins should definitely be pointing to Candelario's deal for a valuation comp when answering calls about Polanco and Kepler. I mean he's about the same age as those guys and has delivered way less value overall. In a vacuum, his deal certainly makes Kepler look like a 2024 QO candidate ATM.
  16. At least the Yankees pitching depth is getting gutted in the rule 5.
  17. No, draft picks aren't tied to Rule 5 selections. They cost $100K and a 26-man spot the whole season. If they're injured, they occupy a 40-man spot at least until the IL opens up in the spring.
  18. Woo Suk Go and Richard Fitts are both part of today's hot stove news. 😊
  19. Kepler remained a favorite to casual fans. TD is about the only place where there seemed to be a significant desire that he be shown the door.
  20. "lovably eccentric personality" is Minnesota Nice for a-hole. No thanks. Next.
  21. A new generation of Great American Bombs about to be on display.
  22. Jackie Robinson wouldn't have cratered like that. He peaked when he hit the walk-off in Dyersville. (Yes, it was awesome.) No thanks. Next.
