  1. Once Keirsey gets healthy, give Farmer's 40-man spot to him. Then, Wallner, Keirsey, Kirilloff and Julien can battle for the 26-man spot. If two of them figure it out, then DFA Margot and give his 40-man spot to Helman and he can battle Martin. The Twins should have the positional flexibility to do this, and it would be fun to watch. What they'll probably do is just keep making us watch the boring, declining, sub-replacement level vets that are Margot and Farmer.
  2. I have to admit. I was kind of hoping Blackmon would homer there to make it worse for Rocco.
  3. 8 consecutive batters without getting an out across two appearances. That's gotta be up there in worst ever.
  4. There are probably several nuanced reasons for it. 😄
  5. There's that J-word, and it doesn't apply when talking about correcting a 20-year span averaging sub-.300 winning percentages.
  6. Just checking the score now. I see -0.5 bWAR Margot in the leadoff spot. Pass.
  7. His walk-up music is "Ain't No Sunshine" by Bill Withers, and he made a nice over-the-shoulder catch on one of those no man's land/dying duck pop flies when I saw him earlier this spring. That's all I got.
  8. It kinda funny (well, maybe not) that Cleveland can afford to part with good cost controlled pitching, but they can't afford good cost controlled pitching.
  9. He's also received two gifts that turned Walks into Ks.
  10. Now Margot gets to play against righties. Great. 😑
  11. You set your spreadsheets down. I'll set mine down. Then, let's take this outside.
  12. 0-14 against Cleveland, Baltimore and the Yankees with 11 games left against those teams. Even if I give the Twins a ridiculous benefit of the doubt and say they'll go 6-5 in those games, that will be a 6-19 record against top AL teams. That's a .240 winning percentage. AKA Pathetic. Who's still drinking this koolaid? This team should absolutely not be buying before the deadline. With the exception of Vazquez, because the pitching needs good catching to stay on track with development, they also need to stop wasting potential development opportunities by playing these at-or-below replacement level vets.
  13. Turned it off after the early Judge double. Good choice. Might as well just clock out until Friday. The team has.
  14. One inning and already tired of Plouffe.
  15. Jose Ramirez will probably finish this season over 50 bWAR as a historically healthy 31 yo. He's also a 5x All-Star, 4x Top 5 MVP finisher and 4x Silver Slugger. If I was betting man, I'd bet on him. I'm going to add Kepler to the flashy list, even though it might not be popular. BTW, great post!
