  1. Im not sure you are right about that....The flexibility of Marwin, and the turtle makes it even easier to carry three catchers. Its gonna be aight. I doubt they are considering life without any of them. I predict Sano goes back to Rochester when he comes back. And not on a rehab assignment either.
  2. thats pretty optimistic. Maybe they could package Austin and that joke Dakota guy we got for Rodney last year for an AA Starter with Protential.
  3. And, this is DeJong's last audition. I would advise him to make the most of it. The depth we have is virtually amazing
  4. Can't Astudillo play first base as well? I know Kepler and Garver can. Austin did all he could do to break through. Its just not gonna be his opportunity. He'll get one. We needed that roster spot anyways. I just wish we could have gotten something for him.
  5. is there a .5 level. He lost his luster with me when i saw him showboat that homer in the Dominican or Venezuela or wherever it was this winter.
  6. Indians place Corey Kluber on disabled list By Jordan Bastian | May 3, 2017 ......shall i go on?
  7. Carrasco was hit hard on the elbow by a line drive from Twins designated hitter Joe Mauer in the second inning of Saturday's game. It's the third time he's been injured by a hit in the past four seasons. He took a hit to the face in 2015, but didn't miss any time. He was also hit hard in the elbow in 2016 and missed the rest of the season. This is from 2018 a story about Carrasco. If I need to i can look up the story about how Bauer cut his hand playing with toys and missing a start in the 2016 playoffs. What about Danny Salazar? Where has he been since he was crowned a perennial Cy Young candidate? My point is that with the exception of Kluber and maybe Clevinger, none of those guys are pressure, clutch players. Hence no world championships since 1950 something. Its a loser team with no heart. Go ahead and crown them if you want. Im gonna love watching em fall.
  8. Im not sure exactly what the problem was last year but the "sense of urgency' that proven winners like Cruz and Gonzalez bring to the Clubhouse is a real difference maker.
  9. with the likes of Diekman, Boxberger, and Kennedy anchoring their bullpen they will be poster boys for ineptness. That's not the kind of attention anybody would want.
  10. Im not sure i can believe what i read, but aside from the George Brett era were they ever really a threat too anyone except for like maybe 2014-15?.
  11. What's not to like about this start. I think the important thing to remember is there's a lot of new faces and personalities here in our organization. We will have some down times as well but as long as we stick to the plan...(whatever it is) we should make the playoffs with the talent i see displayed on this club. How far we can go is up to the Baseball Gods.
  12. Just get prepared watch the tape and dont let Harper be the one to beat you.
  13. I can see Cruz in right field for a few innings in each of these interleague games. All I've heard from his spring training experiences were good reviews. He's a pro. He wants to win. He will be ready.
  14. Whats not to like about a 4-1 start and 4-1 in the division!!!
  15. I TOLD YOU SO!! I TOLD YOU SO!! I TOLD YOU SO!!!
  16. Im here late but WHAT AN AMAZING VICTORY!!! I havent even read the details yet but is anyone as excited as I AM!!! OMG WE'RE 4-1!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. man!!! i am writing this after Wednesday's get away day victory. Way to go boys....lets roll into Philly with a head of steam and the lead in the division! This is the Heart that i always talk about that can't always be measures by WAR, UZR BAPIB, XYX, PITCHER IS TIRED IN 4TH LETS CALL HIM AN OPENER.
  18. These are the kinds of games we would have found a way to lose last year.
  19. i wonder if we can reclaim Reed and keep him at Rochester now without being on our 40 man?
  20. if we tie that game i bet the fangraphs win probability went up to like 89.92%. Their closer was already on the mound and we were at home. I would have gone all out for a tie, and I would have bet my farm we were gonna win. I hope we don't have to play a 163rd game because of this.
  21. i didnt get to see that game but this is exactly the situation when i say you have to manage with your heart and not your folder full of analytics mumbo jumbo. Who in there right mind wouldn't have pinch hit for Kepler in that situation? A bunch of information showing you how excellent Astidillo is at handling the bat doesnt tell you he should be up in that situation? And this decision came from a "forward thinking analytics friendly" manager? Wow! IMO this kind of thing contradicts everything this FO has tried to force feed us. Let me see, man on second, down by one at home, nobody out.(AND, the runner is Buxton) Hmmmm what should I do....OMG....HMMMM....Why wont Derek answer my calls ...OMG....im running out of time...LET HIM HIT....I know...he has no chance in hell...the analytics tell me.... Now old school thinking in order of the first thoughts in my head. Pinch hit Astudillo for Kepler(or maybe even Austin), have Kepler bunt him over because in extra innings i dont wanna lose Kepler's defense out there, or three, try to steal third. Not once does having him swing away enter my mind in that situation. Molitor would have won that game. (i know....but I'm just sayin...lol)
  22. I am down with OPP, and we are on pace to go 13-6 against Cleveland this year...(which is pretty impressive i think)
