    Nearly a full year with Rudy as hitting coach and I still don't like what I see. I don't know what is different under him vs Rowson, but the results are immensely different. Front office and Rocco have to see the lack of results too. Has anyone in the media questioned the results?

    That is a great article by Dan Hayes on the Athletic. Talks about the process and how it doesn't happen overnight. Some good nuggets on Winder and Canterrino as well. I love our staff and the depth behind it. Dobnak is missing bats like Kershaw this spring! Happ is more reliable than Odo. A full year if Pineda and hoping for a breakout year from Jose. Personally I like Shoemaker as a 2-3 innings guy, but time will tell.

    With Kirilloff having a quiet bat this spring and Broxton lighting it up, any chance they roll with Keon and let Kirilloff rediscover his swing in Ft Myers?

    I am not worried about our pitching staff, they are in good hands. I am worried about our bats though. If we are truly playing with a different baseball this year, Rocco and staff need to know how to play small ball at times and not wait for a HR

    Maybe this is the break that Thorpe needed to make the rotation and show some consistency. When Happ comes back, slide Shoemaker into a long RP roll as he is best under 4 IPs

    5 years $100m seems like a good starting point for both sides. Pitchers with less results than him have signed for over $20M per. By the time he hits free agency, assuming he keeps progressing, he will be looking at $25M+ per season

    Can a team like the Twins afford a gamble on an injury prone player like Bux? He has always reminded me of Eric Davis from the Reds and the career is very similar, but Davis did put together some healthy monster seasons. But his injuries caught up to him and his career ended prematurely. A 5 year $65m will not hurt the Twins long term, but is it enough for Bux and his agent.

    14 man staff and 3 bench bats is just silly. We have 5 veteran starting pitchers that have shown they can go 6+, Shoemaker maybe not so much. That is maybe 18innings a week for a 9 man pen? Silly, just silly. Give me Blankenhorn on the bench

    I'm tired of Odo being a 5 and fly pitcher for over $10m. Would definitely gamble on Walker, his arm is electric when healthy. Dobnak has done nothing wrong to lose his spot, so no issues with him either. Thorpe has been a prospect crush for a few years and needs to show results this spring

    His delivery is very unique, but that alone shouldn't push him to RP role. I worry about his secondary pitches more than his motion. His build looks like he could be a workhorse if he can command 3+ pitches

    The next few months we will find out ML guys took the time away to work on their craft. Would love to have 2-3 of these power arms in St Paul ready for their opportunity

    Seems like a good deal for both teams. RP with good heat, nasty slider and MLB experience. Wade wasn't going to much playing time with the Twins, so I hope he gets a chance in SF

    I believe Pineda was suspended for a weight loss drug, not roids. Great couple day for the Twins and I'm shocked they got Colome at that price. Wonder if they could still get a SP with good upside for $6-8m?

    White Sox added Lance Lynn, arguably the worst clubhouse guy in MLB. That is good for at least 5 losses

    Solid signing! Gives Lewis one more year in the minors before he takes over at SS.

    Why do Twins fans think every off-season the team will turn into the Yankees or Dodgers. No one went to games last year and probably won't this year either. I love this signing! Happy isn't a Cy candidate, but he is very good and very reliable. Anyone remember the rag arms we had at the 4 & 5 spots in our WS years? Now please go out and resign Cruz, get a backup MI and another RP

    Zach Davies had a very good year for the Padres. If he does that again, Cubs could flip him as a cheap rental at the trade deadline. He is only making $8.5 and will be a UFA after the season

    Cleveland SPs aren't 5 and fly either. Hopefully we are developing guys that will be allowed to go 7+ innings
