  1. Lecroy24fan said that in his post.
  2. Kepler has broken baby toe, assume transfer is retroactive to last Sunday when he was hit in the foot at Detroit. (Technically Monday). Sano has knee inflammation, assume he is on IL until he is traded (LOL). Now batting .083. He actually is worth nothing. A DFA would not surprise me.
  3. Looking at the Twins web site, it appears that Danny Coloumbe has been shifted to the 60 day to open a slot for Sano, Sano has been activated and Celestino optioned. Not listed in transactions, but active roster shows Sano, but no Celestino. Transactions shows the Coloumbe shift.
  4. Bremer’s replacement is Chris Vosters, Blackhawks play by play guy. Per Bally Sports North Facebook page.
  5. Thought I’d add one more former SS to the list that I wouldn’t mind one of these guys to turn into - Joe Nathan.
  6. How did they open a spot on the 40 man? It doesn’t appear that they dropped Godoy and as stated, they added Hamilton to the 40 man. I didn’t see a corresponding move to clear a spot.
  7. It definitely puts me in a better mood. But think about this - if the Twins had won 2 of those blown losses, they’d have a 7 game lead over the Guardians. If they had won three of the blown games, they’d have a very comfortable 9 game lead over the Guardians. The upcoming games against the Sox are crucial to go at least 4-3 and preferably 5-2. We currently have a 5.5 game lead over the Sox. Each game is a two game swing. The difference between going 2-5 vs going 5-2 would be a 2.5 game lead or an 8.5 game lead over the Sox. (Obviously this doesn’t take into consideration the two series between the two series with the Sox).
  8. Josh Winder isn’t in the majors, therefore he hasn’t “graduated”, shouldn’t he be on this list?
  9. What is the status of Trevor Rosenthal? A free agent who hasn’t pitched for a year plus because of injury, but would cost us only cash to try out. He can’t be any worse than Pagan. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Duffey does seem better in last five outings. I wouldn’t pitch him more than one inning at a time, but right now I’d trust him more than Pagan.
  10. I was thinking about this earlier this week. Duran, Alcala, Jax, Smith, Maeda - should be locks if healthy. Lefties - Theilbar (maybe), Moran, and Coulombe (again if healthy) - take your choice. I like what Thornburg has done. I think that Ober could be similar to Jax with an uptick in velocity for short stretches. Questioning both Pagan and Cotton after tonight. Hopefully an acquisition or two would be in play as well. Have to admit that Duffey has looked better in last 5 outings. Starters would be Gray, Ryan, Smeltzer and Archer with Bundy for long relief to piggyback with Archer. Also Winder should be taken into consideration.
  11. Trade Sano, Duffey and Theilbar just to clear space on the 40 man. Don’t have to get much, one or two low level prospects. Scour the wire for relief pitchers.
  12. Was last night the first time that the Twins wore their powder blue unis that were specifically road uniforms? I always remember those uniforms saying “Twins”, not “Minnesota”. When they originally wore them it always said “Twins”, and I thought earlier this season it was the same. When looking up Twins uniforms 2022, it shows “Twins”, not the “Minnesota” version. I had to do a triple take when I saw it (and not until I saw a replay of Sanchez’s homer today). Didn’t notice last night.
  13. Twins need catching. My choice would be Susac. He’ll stick at catcher, has a good arm and can hit. A good choice.
  14. Said this before the season started. Wilson Ramos is still out there as a free agent.
  15. For now I’d be willing to take a flyer on Trevor Rosenthal and Brandon Kinzler, both available as free agents right now costing us only money. Both have to be better than Duffey.
  16. Assuming Stashak and Lewis will be transferred to the 60 day on Saturday as Chi Chi is already listed as Saturday’s starter. He had an opt out for this week. Maybe Palacios for other spot.
  17. According to Twins web site there are currently 42 on the 40 man roster. Not including those on 60 day IL. Palaciios is listed on the 40 man, although I don’t know when he was added. It says he was optioned to St. Paul. Two bodies have to be dropped and Minaya is already off.
  18. Did anyone not see this coming when Rocco brings in Duffey in a one run game vs the Yankees? Close game becomes a blowout with Duffey in there. Get rid of him tonight. I question Rocco as well. Duffey sucks! I’d rather go with a 25 man roster than have Duffey as a temptation for Baldelli.
  19. With Cotton not on the 40 man and pitching pretty well, we need to find a roster spot for him. Cotton is only here because of the unvaccinated guys, so he can be sent down without passing through waivers. Duffey has been awful this year and we need his spot for Cotton. Unless we transfer him to the 60 day IL, he’s just cluttering up the roster. Time to cut ties.
  20. Any way we can throw in Duffey just to get him off the roster? I don’t need anything back for him. I’d even pay his salary.
  21. I’ve given up on both Bundy and Duffey. We need to find a way to get Cotton back on the roster and lose Duffey.
  22. I agree with those above who feel the Twins need help at catcher. While Parada is the popular choice, I think they should go for Daniel Susac. He may not have quite as much power as Parada, but he’s close and may be a bit more polished behind the plate, and he’s just a shade bigger. So for me it’s either one of those catchers or the best pitching prospect on the board.
  23. I hate to say it, but the final record was 9-8. I think that when we look back on this stretch, it will be the time we end up losing the division, even though at this point we still have a 4.5 game lead. You can’t play 1 game over .500 against this lightweight division and expect to go anywhere. I realize we have some crucial injuries, but the team isn’t hitting and the bullpen is very weak. Unless something changes, we will be out of first place by the end of the month.
  24. Add Sands to the taxi squad. Palacios was also on the squad, but was needed on the active roster. According to Doogie Wolfson, expect at least one starting pitcher to be restricted, as well as “a significant reliever” and “an outfielder”. The reliever was on the team last year. Some indications are that if the Twins are slated to face Toronto in the playoffs, some of the unvaccinated will reconsider.
