VIDEO: Two Under the Radar Prospects for 2023
Matthew Lenz posted a topic in Twins Minor League Talk
As the prospect crew at Twins Daily is rolling out their top prospects, there are two who I think are flying under the radar. After wildly successful 2022 seasons, keep an eye on them to repeat and improve their prospect status in 2023. View full video -

The Twins haven’t gotten the offers they were hoping for in a Kepler trade, which means he’s likely to be on the Opening Day roster. With nine outfielders on the active roster, what is the role of each player? View full video

I hope I’m wrong and tbh I’m not expecting them to all suck. Just don’t think people are realizing there is a possibility that “the plan” doesn’t work out for the third consecutive season. Honestly not being a dick..trying to be helpful, but when you use Fangraphs you can just call it fWAR or bWAR for baseball reference.

Imagine a world where Kepler’s offense isn’t saved by the shift being banned, Buxton misses significant time (again), and 2022 Joey Gallo wasn’t a fluke. Woof.

I broached a similar topic awhile ago…also tabbed Cole Sands whose FB velo and slider spin rates are very similar to Jax.- 40 replies

Wanted: Your thoughts about Randy Dobnak

Not good enough to pitch on a competitve team. -
Correa, Buxton, Gray, Miranda, and Gallo

Over the weekend Roch Kabotka of MASN Sports said the Baltimore orioles need a “defensive minded corner outfielder to complete their off-season”. Although, specifically looking for a left fielder, the Twins and Orioles could come together for their second trade in six months.

It’s time to move past the trade and focus on Pablo Lopez as a Minnesota Twin exclusive of your feelings about Luis Arraez. With three shoulder injuries in five years, how much should we worry about his durability and stamina moving forward? View full video

I don’t think you need to be an optimist to think the Twins could win the division in 2023. A LOT went wrong in 2022.
-
I think at this point we either add a middle RP or get a small prospect package. That said, I’m not sure it’s guaranteed we deal him.
-
It will vary depending on LHP v RHP, but I think the top four should pretty consistently be Correa, Buxton, Miranda, and Gallo in that order.
-
Buxton, Taylor, then maybe Gallo (assuming Kepler is traded)

Looking Back on Game 163
Matthew Lenz replied to Alex Boxwell's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
What a fun read. Asked my prof (who was also my advisor) if I could miss her night class at UMD. She said no, I skipped anyway and made the trip. Obviously, totally worth it. Also the greatest game I have been to in my life.
