  1. We have good pitching finally but IMO it came at a cost by losing Arraez. After all these years we deserve both!!
  2. Just thinking they might have played tougher teams, especially being in the AL East
  3. Toronto is struggling but think their schedule may have been a bit tougher but not sure.
  4. Just got to look at GameDay and wondering why they would pull Ryan after 5 innings? Did he really have 107 pitches? Hope he didn't get hurt
  5. Kind of kidding but except for this year he would fit right in in BA for the Twins.
  6. The rotation is very good, not sure I would go to awesome but very good for the first time in a long time. If the Twins had Arraez on base would that not produce more runs which this team is truly lacking. He does have to have someone to drive him in. Given the inning his singles, double and triples would drive in runs. The whole Buxton situation IMO sucks! Such high expectations but now they are way to cautious with him (IMO). Correa better step it up and SOON! Not just for one game either Duran is rated #16, but to his credit he hasn't had much to save. Not the spot they hit but it would be nice to have everyday players. In the last 4 games they have had 14 players. Top are a bit more consistent. I guess I am living in the good old day when you had a team. The new baseball world of statistics is not for me
  7. At least you get to watch them on TV. Not having access to watch games probably affects attendance and if attendance drops we won't even be able to afford a top starter ever.
  8. No baseball expert here but I think they leave pitchers at AAA too long and by the time they get here are prone to injury.
  9. Trying not to be negative but going into the season there were obvious holes (at least to me). Letting Arraez go! Yes we got a pretty good pitcher but they pitch maybe 3 times in a 2 week span? I believe Arraez would have helped win many games. No true DH type player Not utilizing Buxton as he should be I don't think anyone saw Correa's horrible year coming No true closer No consistent line-up. I think that the guys would jell and there would be far less errors or dingbat plays. Plus players would gain confidence by being an everyday players My frustration or anger is that we can't "have it all". We should be able to have both a Lopez type pitcher and Arraez, a true DH and good closer.
  10. Especially with a team that has such a hard time scoring. Keep him in, let him take his knocks. Good learning experience.
  11. Are we going to hear soon that Correa has been hurting/injured all season? Hoping Buxton is not headed for the IL. Buxton is 51st in the AL for RBI's Correa only 33rd and 45th for HR's. Is it unreasonable or should we expect them to produce more? Could they let the starters to longer? Seems the starters could be better going through the 7th or at least not worse. Someone also mentioned we don't have a true DH and that is hurting. They may win the Division but will we just have another play-off disappointment? Hard to be positive and I think I need to keep my expectations down.
  12. Not many good bats so not really his fault, right?
  13. In my glass half empty idea is they wanted to get rid of him before they had to pay him. Basically we can’t have more than one good thing.
  14. Is anyone worried that we are going to hear Buxton is out indefinitely? Got a pit in my stomach feeling.
  15. I agree. What are they saving a ..230 hitter for? If he was batting in the 300’s that would be different. The whole lineup is weak and inconsistent. It’s not that early any more. Correa has been horrible at the plate. The Twins barely have anyone hitting over .250.
  16. MLB has Brent Rooker and Arraez listed as best acquisitions this year. How sad is that.
  17. Last week I mentioned bring up the future, not just a game or 2 but enough time to see what they have. One poster said they are playing for this year. I hope I am dead wrong but don’t see them as playoff quality. They may make it but doesn’t seem likely and if they do and face an AL East team, most likely a one and done year. Why waste another season? Let’s get the future developed this year. Stop the gap filling and get Buxton in CF, if he is that soft let’s just be done with this project. Love him but so disappointing and depressing.
  18. They say the bullpen is “taxed “, so why pull Ryan after 6?
  19. If you think they can go far in the play-offs I agree. Curious is it pitching or hitting or a combo that we need. What if anyone with an ERA under .250 be replaced with a player the Twins have deemed our future. The team has been fun to follow so far but I don't see anything that would have them going far in the playoffs if they make it. Not trying to argue I just think it is time to stop piecing together lineups. Just a wish!
  20. I can see them making the play-offs in the ALC but IMO and not trying to be negative about the playoff but can they get out of round 1? Is holding their development worth an extra 3 games?
  21. If healthy they should bring up the 2023 prospects and give them time to show what they can do. and stick with them for at least a month. They all need MLB experience and they need to not have to worry about being sent down. Who is in their vision/plan for the near future?
