Here I am at the airport killing time before my flight home. Am so sad to be leaving this warm weather, but that sadness is buffered a bit by the fact that it is raining here in Fort Myers. And just watch, I'll get the lineups and game thread posted and the game will get cancelled. So be it, and here they are:

Swap Suzuki and Hicks, and are you OK with it? (And maybe then swap Hicks and Dozier?) I presume they plan to do everything they can to take the pressure off Hicks to start the season; if he thrives then there is plenty of season left to move him up.

 

If you want Suzuki out and Pinto in, well, similar reasoning probably applies there too.

 

If both Hicks and Pinto are clicking, by mid May the lineup could look more promising. Or, if Willingham and Plouffe are scuffling, no amount of re-ordering will fix it.

I think Mauer should be batting 2nd but then who bats 3rd? If Arcia were hitting better maybe him but ... that's the problem. As I said what do I know?

I'm soaked. But there was alot of money flowing here today. They sold Miracle ponchos for $5 a crack and there must of been 400 of them out there today. The food was getting eaten and the beer flowing. And the gift shop had a waiting line of at least 1/2 hour plus they were selling T shirts outside the gift shop. So all's not lost today.

 

I figured there was no way they would play, but at one they just announced delayed. Why cancel when money is pouring in!

 

The minor leaguers played each other and started at 9:30 and played 7 innings.
