Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 I feel as if at this point in the season we all need rational explanations to why we are still watching the Twins. Well ... for me, tonight ... I'm up at 6am tomorrow for tennis ... I need something that will force me to get to bed early tonight.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Wow ... that's some caber toss ... Arcia must be part Scottish.

diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 As a Twins fan that should not be an issue, since you should know "how to do things the right way" and being able to "battle your tail off" or something like that. Yeah, but I'm a Vikings fan too.

Dan, you need to come to this thread more often. One of our goals is to avoid rationality until the Twins are no longer terrible.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 I'm thinking that in the off-season Terry Ryan needs to acquire a few more pretty darn good starting pitchers.

ashbury Verified Member Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 I think Gardy and Ryan are just trying to demonstrate, for the SABR crowd, the area around which replacement level exists for starting pitching. Or, some level below.

I'm not sure there's room in the rotation for any more pretty darn good starting pitchers. We seem to have cornered the market.

James Verified Member Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 I just turned on the game and saw the score. I assumed it must have been the 5th or 6th with a score of 7 - 0 and it being an hour into the game... then the top of the 3rd was over.
