The Minnesota Twins have announced their 2014 schedule. Perhaps the most popular segment is the interleague games. Next year, the AL Central draws the NL West.

According to their press release, the Twins will face the Dodgers (April 29-May 1), Brewers (June 4-5), Padres (August 5-6) and Diamondbacks (September 22-24) at Target Field. Meanwhile the Twins will travel to the Padres (May 20-21), Giants (May 23-25), Brewers (June 2-3) and Rockies (July 11-13).

With three solid ballparks to visit, next year might be the year we launch the first Twins Daily Road Trip Tour. Stay tuned.

The games in Coors Field will be 75% Twins fans with all of the Minnesota transplants out here. It's going to be great fun.

I don't think that's true, but in any event, I hope to be there. My two favorite teams facing off at Coors Field.

MLB schedule makers sticking it to the Twins again. We should have a lot more games against the Brewers and Astros and a lot less against the good teams, imo.

Ha, and they're saying the same thing.

It was true when they were here in 2008. A lot of the games are dominated by the visiting team fans here. Boston, Chicago, New York, LA, Milwaukee all draw huge crowds. Most of the people I know in Colorado are originally from somewhere else.

Dodgers and D'backs will play in Australia to start the season. Given the Twins' domination of the Australian player market, I wish they'd been chosen. It'd be nice to continue increasing the Twins' name recognition there, but good for MLB overall.

That's weird. I've been to a good amount of games there and there always seemed to be boatload upon boatload of Rockies jerseys/shirts/hats everywhere. I'm sure you're right though, being there more often.

I will be adding San Fran to the list of ballparks I've visited. Looking forward to that.

Here I thought the team was moving to the International League. Maybe that will be when the new Stadium is built downtown St. Paul to hand the expected crowds.

Seriously, know I wasn't really funny at all there.

I sometimes wonder the advantage of these season starting trips to major time zone changes (why not Europe added to the mix, too). Like the World Baseball Calssic, maybe coincide with the World Series and played at the end of the season, kinda that area between the end of the season and full scale winter ball.

schedule breakdown (in any sport. How the NFL schedule release gets days of coverage and then weeks of 'analysis' always baffles me.) but, like this year, a lot of home games to end the season.
