He's a third string catcher who they won't even play. And you are telling me I won't give him credit for all his great contributions.

It started as Al Franken “kidding on the square.” I know by now one can’t tell you anything anyway. You are welcome to diminish what he has done when given playing time, if you like.

Maybe he finally gets a multi year contract he deserves with his defensive stats this year. I mean it comes down to the zero power and the widely perceived need to play 1B to avoid being too much of a defensive liability. I just think he’s stuck in the same market as a 1B only guy (his lack of speed doesn’t help) with an OBP of 320-ish and SLG of 470-ish. Those guys don’t exactly grow on trees, but they’re not rare enough to make him super valuable, either. I like him in front of Schwarber. It’ll be interesting what the reviews end up being on his second run at second base. h2oface 1

Althebum82 Verified Member Posted August 11 Posted August 11 Am I the only one who has seen enough of Adams and Rogers? I know they love Travis' strikeouts and will be giving Taylor the Caleb Thielbar sentimental treatment, but we have seen promise in Jack Anderson which has continued in St Paul, and Julian Merryweather is off to a great start with his return. I just don't see how we can expect to compete for a playoff spot and expect to count on the two we saw tonight. Hawkeye Bean Counter, Cory Engelhardt, David HK and 1 other 4

Whammy Verified Member Posted August 11 Posted August 11 Can we talk about something really important for a sec… That dude bubble wrapping his car is going to be really annoyed with himself for not using the mirror to anchor that strip running back across his hood. With no anchor point, that last loop of bubble wrap is just going to fall right off the front of his car.
