I bet if the Twins played only 1 game per year they wouldn’t get any more than the Bananas got! (I can’t help myself. You laid that fastball right over the middle of the plate. I had to swing.)

The Bananas are entertaiment...Harlem Globetrotters of baseball. ...interesting to see ONCE...not everyday....is not a sport nor true baseball. They show their appearances on Trutv and a couple of other locations from what I have been told. The largest events at Target Field have been concerts...interesting...Tim McGraw (upcoming with a Twins game) combined with Chesney for perhaps the largest one.. Permanent Twins Fan and Peter 2

A baseball event can’t have more than about 40k…no matter what. A concert can accommodate many more based on how the venue can be set up for a concert.

ERod has not played in over 2 months, he is no where near ready to come up here. He should be extra player called up in September. If they want to contend Jenkins would be up here. You are really stretching to make a case for Roden, 11 AB's and his first double of the year. He's gotten 48 AB's this season. A real test run would be 200 AB's before moving on. I get it, other guys are more exciting, higher upside.

Now may not be the time to move on, but at some point he needs to produce more. Permanent Twins Fan 1

How you can call it a "baseball event" is unbelievable...even Rod would agree 👍
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted August 11 Posted August 11 Apparently Tony O. was okay with it. Good enough for me.
