Has anyone noticed any changes in Wallner with St Paul? I don't think I have noticed any changes. 

You would think they would have tried to change his stance and leg kick for starters.

Without any changes I don't see the point of promoting him. He still strikes out too much in the minors so it would be even worse in the majors.

Maybe the best thing is to leave him in St Paul and maybe a trade later may be best for everyone.

Comparing his numbers to his previous AAA stints he is swinging out of the zone less and has fewer swing strikes. His called strike rate is a little higher than a few of the years but that might be a good thing as long as it is not strike 3 and they are difficult to drive pitches on the border that may be out of the strike zone. One of things he needed to do was get himself in better counts to make the pitcher thrown him something better to hit. The only other thing is observational and recollection. I watched his at bats against Verlander and was impressed by the hard line drive that went for a double. He had a home run that game but it was the double that struck me as different. I also so that hit yesterday that was a single to drive in the winning run.

The minor league feeds use fewer cameras. We get a widescreen shot of the field on replays that highlights how unbelievably slow Big Matt responds to batted balls. You can count to three on most balls hit in his direction. Once Jenkins is up, Wallner moves to permanent DH. His days in the field should be over. Josh Willingham was a much better outfielder. 

Wallner has not made any discernable adjustments and his plate appearances pretty much mirror what we saw when he was with the Twins. MILB pitchers miss their spots more often which accounts for the hits Wallner has as a Saint. I wonder if he might improve if he was only used as a DH?
