Yeah, don't listen to excuse makers on drops or the offensive line, this is still primarily on the quarterback. Mike Sixel 1

He might be good for a team that’s looking for a Kirk Cousins ceiling. I want a QB who can drag a team to the Super Bowl, and I’m willing to draft more JJ McCarthys until he they get it right. Everyone is trying to do that. You’ve got to get someone who gives you a chance. Fans can wait, coaches, FO’s and players can’t. You think KOC and your star WR want another year of this???
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2025 Posted November 23, 2025 two field goals. Zero offense the entire 2nd half. Just brutal. Truly. Glad I hung out with friends, worked out, and showered for most of this game...
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2025 Author Posted November 23, 2025 That might be the worst half of football I’ve ever seen from the Vikings. Aggies7 1

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2025 Posted November 23, 2025 The average tenure for an NFL coach is 3-3.3 years. The average playing career is 3.3 years. The team is not going to punt on the next year hoping McCarthy figures it out. They’ll will be bringing someone in, almost certainly IMO. KOC isn’t going to let himself get fired for the long term future possibilities of the Vikings organization.

We’re approaching Josh Rosen territory. McCarthy is catastrophic for this offense

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2025 Posted November 23, 2025 Jameis Winston out here converting 3rd and 17 against the lions.

He and KOC just got four year extensions. The last GM missed in a few qb picks - ponder, Bridgewater, Bradford. Wilfs seem patient

I mean, he has one really good pick in 4 years (two if you count a kicker). That's not going to cut it. They dealt for Hockenson, and got 2 years out of him (he's bad this year). I don't see how anyone thinks he's doing a good job at this point.....last year's record built on guys either he didn't draft, or who he let leave this year. Aggies7 1

What did they see in him to make that big a gamble? I was alright with it because of how Darnold ended and I assumed McCarthy wouldn’t be this terrible. But it’s looking like that was the wrong choice. Vanimal46 1

If he doesn't show improvement by the end of the year, Vikings are in an ugly spot. But going with the draft pick over Darnold was the right decision, regardless of whether it works out.

Bo Nix would look great in this offense....

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2025 Posted November 23, 2025 We’re getting to that point where even if he does show improvement, are 6 better games going to make you not bring a new guy in to compete for the job ? Considering how bad it’s been ?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted November 23, 2025 Posted November 23, 2025 Gibbs to the house. The giants are a great 3.75 quarter team
