There is absolutely nothing to do at the LA stadium, it takes you all morning to get there, and another couple hours to get back. It's one of those new suburban stadiums where the owners and developers get to design a giant patch of real estate. The only bar or or restaurant is in a new casino on the lot. Food and drinks at the casino were stadium priced, you have to ante each hand to play blackjack, (I'm not sure how that's even legal, no one will ever win and dummies will still play), and it's the only place to walk to after the game so it's hours wait for ride share. Which obviously was intentional as they want you to stay; see the part about it being a rigged casino. This is the future. Screw the local businesses in downtown San Francisco, New England, New York, Phoenix, Dallas and soon to be Cleveland. Just keep giving us more money while getting next to nothing in return. Stadium itself is nice though. Sounds like the city of San Diego made the right choice to vote them out of the city instead of bowing to the billionaire owner… I love San Diego’s downtown near Petco Park. So walkable and tons of local places to eat and drink nicksaviking, Parfigliano and Mike Sixel 3
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2025 Posted October 23, 2025 Conversation in text just now with my dad and son. Dad...Wentz is terrible. Oh wait it hasn’t started yet Son....Hah. You’ll be able to copy and paste that.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2025 Posted October 23, 2025 I’m seeing that the Chargers are very unlike a typical Jim Harbaugh team. Calling pass plays 67% of the time on offense, and shaky at best defense.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2025 Posted October 23, 2025 I forgot how early it starts. It will be over before we play tonight.

A couple of times now I’ve used my points from business travel to book that Hilton hotel right across the street from Petco. It overlooks the San Diego bay and we can walk right to the Gaslamp district for food and fun times Parfigliano and Mike Sixel 2

Once you do the touristy stuff in LA you don’t need to do it again. And the traffic is terrible. I was white knuckling the whole time in the rental car
