AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted August 9, 2025 Posted August 9, 2025 Keaschall has played in 10 games as a Twin. He’s gotten base hits in 9 of the games. In the tenth game (well, seventh), back in April, he got exactly one plate appearance, in which he also got a hit…by pitch. Breaking his arm. Can we get a special ruling on this, as either a)a 10 game hit streak or b)a 9 game hit streak?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 9, 2025 Posted August 9, 2025 Or c) you’ve just now jinxed him to a hitless streak Richie the Rally Goat, C-Gangster and AlwaysinModeration 1 1 1
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted August 9, 2025 Author Posted August 9, 2025 Well, to be fair, it could be c and still also a or b. But let’s say that he gets a hit in his next 47 straight games. It would be a shame if he didn’t get to break DiMaggio’s streak because of a game where he got one PA that resulted in a broken arm. Admittedly, there is a chance this won’t wind up being an issue. MN Brian 1
