Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 That was not a good ending. Or how bout... That depends... Did you think the Grapes of Wrath ended well.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 I assumed you stayed up for the same reason as the rest of us. To celebrate PJ Walters' farewell game and I assume his victory lap. This was almost as memorable as Ted Williams hitting a homer in his final plate appearance. yes, and okay, on that final thought, i can go to bed and dream happy thoughts. i'd say something about snepp's spout here, but quite honestly, i'm too tired. g'night everyone.

Actually it wasn't a victory "lap", it was more like PJ and Riverbrian riding off slowly together into the sunset...towards a hotel in Bismarck...to...you know...the brokedown hurler end of the line...I warned you about where those old nags would end up leaving you
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 And that ending was back in the first. PJ Walters ending

Or was it Butch and Sundance?

"Fell" is what I'm telling the authorities.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 One more cheap shot and I gotta go... PJ Walters... Good news for people who like bad news. OK... Now Serious... I feel bad for him... That's his career... That's a personal blow to it and I hate seeing stuff like that happen. Its gonna be a tough night for him.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 I once thought that Twins baseball was an escape for me. I once believed it to be a happy place. Tonight this godforesaken season of Bi-Polar play has beat me down. It is the wicked stepfather with his tightly clenched fist gripping his belt with all his might. It is your first love, that breaks your heart and leaves you with a gift of V.D. It is being a baby bunny, trapped in a 5'x5' cage of Siberian Tigers. Today's game had the feel of the film "Requiem for a Dream". Back at em' tomorrow... Hip, Hip, Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!

I deserve the cheap shot as the heavy price to pay for an even cheaper "I told you so". And I feel bad for him personally, too.

Agreed, my cheap shot too felt a bit harsh as the guy is now likely facing an uncertain future.

I still stand by it. When he was performing I would have kept giving the ball. If he asks me for the ball now... I'm telling him that someone ate the last one.
