Anyone asked why Arcia/Plouffe are hitting 6th and 7th? Why the **** is Doumit hitting 3rd?

 

Veteran presence in the lineup.

He pitched last year for the local AAA team in Reno. I don't recall that he pitched in any of the few games I went to, so I have no on-the-scene scouting report to offer. I read the same things everyone else does, that he didn't seem to understand that you be nice to be people you meet on your way up because you might see them again on your way down.

 

From what I've read... It's why Arizona was willing to trade him. Upton as well.

 

Arizona is trying to build that nose to the grindstone good attitude team and its kinda my philosophy on how to build a winner. So I'm watching the D-Backs close.

Doesn't Walters have to be DFA'd if we want to get rid of him? Albers could be an option then.

Does it really matter at this point? I hope the Twins are done giving him starts. I've read he is a great person and the Twins love him, but I just can't see how they can justify giving him any more starts in the MLB. He is just not an MLB caliber pitcher. There are other options to clear from the 40-man if they want to keep him.

It would be worth discussing if he was merely bad. These last two starts were way beyond that. I agree with you.

Well yeah it matters. If he has to be DFA'd, then it opens a spot on the 40 man roster.

Gardy was making out a lineup card while Willingham was hurt.

 

He started by placing Doumits name in the 3 spot first and was going to fill in the rest of the lineup.

 

He then he realized that it was the last copy of his lineup cards and he made 50 photo copies of the lineup card with Doumits name in the 3 spot.

 

There is nothing that Gardy can do about that now.
