Yeah, with the Rams, McVey was famously calling Goffs plays for him up until the mic would cut out with 15 seconds on the play clock. They'd get to the LOS early so McVey could coach him. Certainly Goff has learned a lot and gotten better since then, but I'm not sure he has the instincts of the top end QBs in the league. TheLeviathan 1

Yup, even a great coach has a ceiling on what they can do.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted January 19, 2025 Author Posted January 19, 2025 The snow has arrived in PA. Too bad they didn’t move the game up to noon
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 Collinsworth’s kid sounds exactly like his old man. It’s throwing me off.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted January 19, 2025 Author Posted January 19, 2025 Guess the weather isn’t that much of a factor 😂 too warm down there
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 Oh look, Hurts doesn't think 4-7 seconds to drop back is a thing!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted January 19, 2025 Author Posted January 19, 2025 That impenetrable rams defense from 6 days ago already looks like crap
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 I don’t think the Rams have a prayer in this game. The Bills Ravens game is gonna be great

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted January 19, 2025 Author Posted January 19, 2025 So is it actually possible that the Vikings were the 6th best team in the nfc playoffs
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted January 19, 2025 Author Posted January 19, 2025 What a drop off for Jake Elliot. Dude was money til this year

The Rams are one of those teams that don't have to be the best team on the field to win games though. I think it could be one of those games where Philly seems to be dominating, but then you look up in the 4th quarter and realize it's a one score game somehow.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 So jealous of teams that can run it up the middle on 4th and short....... Mike Sixel and Vanimal46 2

In fairness you have to try to do it with some consistency lol running every short yardage play from the shotgun isn’t the best idea
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 Slay allowed to interfere every play

TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 The Rams are legit, but so are the Eagles. This should be a good game. Mike Sixel 1

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted January 19, 2025 Author Posted January 19, 2025 Jimmy G is the rams backup
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 Hurts taking a page out of Darnold's play book.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted January 19, 2025 Author Posted January 19, 2025 Ran in to his own man! Could have broken it

Go ahead and count how long Hurts held it. I'll spoil: it was a little over 4 seconds and down he goes. You can't hold the ball longer than 2.5-3 seconds in the playoffs. You're going to get killed.

And when he tried that other kind of play the Benny Hill music came on and our QB looked like he had just arrived on the planet and didn't know how to use his arm or brain. Then...snowball.

Wasn’t a vast majority of that gained on the long Akers run when he bounced to the outside? We just stink near the goal line with Brandel Bradbury and Risner
