Seattle is one of those teams I rarely pay attention to but they’re always in the mix for the playoffs

NFC west is going to be a wild finish. Especially with the rams beating the Bills currently

Ideally this is the kick in the pants that Buffalo needs to beat Detroit next week

Rams could be scary in the playoffs…

Vikings really had a tough ask when they had to go west to play them on a Thursday. They started off so poorly in the season

The bills are coming back. Very impressive. They’re the best team in the afc IMO. If not this year when

Right now, the Vikings would play in Tampa in the wild card round. How do we feel about that matchup

Honestly don’t care who makes it out of the NFC South they’re gonna get crushed by whoever plays them.

Wouldn’t totally sleep on Tampa. They did beat the eagles and lions and took KC to OT

With the Vikes recent history it seems they sleep on whatever team wherever they play come playoff round 1.

God I’m so sick of mahomes

I'm sick of their offensive tackle getting a head start on every pass play

Dan Campbell is so aggressive on 4th down because he cares strongly about building and maintaining a specific culture—a culture that emphasizes toughness and aggression.  He would rather turn it over on downs on occasion—even if it means short fields for the opponent—in service of furthering that culture than do the “smart” thing and erode the culture.  Since the Lions have gone from laughingstock to Super Bowl favorite in about 4 years, I think he’s right.

I think it's gonna take a big bite at the worst possible time for the lions.

To be fair, he shouldered a big part of the blame for them not reaching the Super Bowl last season because of his aggressiveness. Not only during the NFCCG but also when he kept going for two last year in that game against Dallas late in the season. Had they won that game, they would have been the 1 seed and had home field advantage.

I wouldn’t be shocked one bit if he costs them again by being overly aggressive. What he did against GB last week was silly and unnecessary.

The point I’m making is that they would not have even been in line for a 1 seed, or in the NFCCG were it not for the culture he’s instilled.  And if keeping that culture thriving requires some highly aggressive moves that result in less than desirable outcomes, then he made the right move.  I don’t think aggressiveness is a switch that can be turned on or off—it’s why the Vikings offense is so mercurial, scoring 42 on Atlanta only weeks after scoring 12 on JAX.  The Vikings offense doesn’t seem to play with an edge, which is why it can get stuck in the doldrums so easily.

Campbell clearly values and demands toughness and aggressiveness in his players, and as a good leader, he therefore demands it in himself as well.  Not being aggressive would show a lack of conviction, and would erode the very foundation that has so quickly invigorated what had been one of the very worst franchises in all of sports.
