Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 When removing the Viking losses, Vikings opponents so far have a record of 13-7. What they said about the difficult early schedule appears to be true. gunnarthor and Mike Sixel 2
gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2024 Author Posted October 7, 2024 Holy ****, the NFL concussion protocol failed big time in Buffalo. I suspect the NFL will quickly scrub any video of it from the internet.

He was knocked out on the field, they showed them using smelling salts on the side line, and they let him back into the game. https://ftw.usatoday.com/lists/josh-allen-bills-concussion-protocol-slam-head-reaction small edit - I joked that the NFL was going to scrub the play but there are very few videos of it outside of tiktok or twitter. NFL.com has about 20 plays from the game plus the highlight reel and this play isn't one of them. Here's a youtube of it with a doctor's description of what happened. No idea if this guy is legit though. nicksaviking 1

No idea if this guy is legit though. Yup, he was clearly unconscious. His hands were doing that "My brain isn't currently connected to my body" thing that everyone was harping about with Tua too. I was less shocked that the NFL let one of their star players back into a key game than I was that the announcers decided to keep their mouths shut about it. gunnarthor 1
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 Trying to think of the weak spot on the Vikings and you’d have to say special teams right? But how funny if I told you the special teams are a problem, you’d assume it’s the kicker? I don’t have the data but I’ve got to believe the Vikings have been bottom 10 in kick % each year since they moved the extra point back. Probably bottom 5 most years
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 I’m so sick of the chiefs winning. And mahomes. Carr going in to the locker room. Media darling after two weeks, the saints will be 2-3 barring a miracle. Looks to me like the lions are the biggest threat to the Vikings. Still division champs til someone knocks em off
gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2024 Author Posted October 8, 2024 Right now - keeping in mind that NFL seasons are long - I think only Baltimore can knock off KC. I thought Buffalo and maybe Cincy could be contenders in the AFC this season but it doesn't look like it now. In the NFC, we're clearly the best team - we have a +63 point differential, no other team is close to that. I think Detroit might be the second best team but some of that is an illusion, although the win against NO is legit. Obviously, injuries will be a major player for all teams. Hopefully, we stay healthy.

I know it's annoying that they keep winning, but Andy Reid might be my favorite non-Viking involved in the game. gunnarthor 1

Already seen some major outlet power rankings that have the lions 2 and us 3
